£10 off first order of £15 or more from next.co.uk.

Was in next earlier and at the till there where discount cards freely available, all you have to do is fill in your e-mail address and take the gift card and purchase anything online. Total order must be £15 or more.

should this be in voucher codes? still good

So I have to go to the store and get the card and then log on to get the discount?
Sounds good tho...
#3
To claim the discount you have to open an account (including having a credit check) - you cant pay outright and just claim the discount.
#4
So it's for new customers only then?

Really? That's a bit off, isn't it? I've actually been holding off placing an order so I could pick up one of these cards, but if you have to open an account with them, I'm not interested.. Cheers for the heads up!

Its for new customers ONLY - hence the promotion title "first time surfer".

Takes effect from today (22nd March) and cannot be used by established customers.

£10 will be deducted from total value at checkout.

So an 'account' is like a credit account or store card? If its doing a credit check then they must be offering you credit of some sort...?
#8
New Look do this - it sounds like a store card - they give you a incentive, then charge you extorniate rates if you don't pay off any oustanding balance by the end of month. Fine if you set up DD for full amount, but useless after initial deal (although gives you interest free credit for 28 days or so).

Will most likely involve a credit search

OP should alter details as slightly miss-leading (mainly due to the lack of detail)

Yeah sounds like a store account.

I just use my little brother's 25% discount card

it's a 'first time surfer' on next.co.uk. I received a card this afternoon. Basically just gave one of my many email addresses & the assistant gave me the card. My offer states £10 off first order over £20.00. I paid for my order with a debit card (the options there but not made obvious after it confirms your order). Unfortunately could'nt enter any free delivery code. Saved £6 so not the best of savings.

Next trick customers into a credit account which is outrageous, and there's even a video from the BBC shaming this deplorable practise.

Just beware.

Whats the code on the card. Im trying to open a account and dont have one please.

anything decent to buy?
#18
and whats the code plz. Want to start buying.

BUT if you're going to pay in full anyway when the statement comes then you WON'T be charged interest then it is worth it.
Pay up straight away as you would in-store. I have a account with Next (as you need one to buy online) and pay in full when i receive my statement - have VIP sale slots too - bargain for me.
I never open an account if I'm unable to pay the balance in full = charges/interest etc etc

It won't let you use the free delivery code and the £10 off together, and also, read the small print as you will also be signing up to receive their directory at £3.95 a go, which they automatically charge on your account...............

That happened to me. I didn't want a credit account had my debit card all ready and waiting, clicked confirm which I thought would take me to the payment page and it said order confirmed. I was fuming, I could have used one of these cards but didn't as I thought it was only if you opened a credit account. I then had to email them to say don't send me any borchures as they automatically do and charge you. I was well annoyed, still am. I did not see anywhere on the page saying open credit account or pay by card. Very sneaky.

Okay so here's basically how it works (next employee)

You go into store, fill in one of these forms (these forms are different to the usual ones in that they wont send you a next directory etc). The only thing you need to write down on the form is your email address and your signature.

You take the top half of the form while the sales assistant keeps the bottom half.

Yes, it does open up a credit account but you don't pay to have to use it. Put £15+ worth of items in your basket and use the card (located on the top half of the form) to claim your £10 discount.

When you recieve your first statement, pay that off and then you can close your account if you wish to not use it anymore.

I can't see there being any harm done, it's not as if they are stealing your money. If you don't want the account just close it, no charges or admin fees etc.

To be honest, NEXT do not con you. Everything is written black and white in the Terms and Conditions (which you check to confirm before buying). So if you can't be bothered to read it how can you blame anyone???

Just tried ordering with the £10 offer for 1st orders and after confirming your order you have the option not have a credit account and pay now with a debit or credit card. So not sure what michellerfc is talking about? Misleading info by him there.
