I’ve spent more than £30 and selected Google Checkout, but no discount has been applied. Why is this?
There are only 2 reasons why this discount would not be displayed, one reason is that your £30 spend is including shipping (you need to spend £30 excluding shipping to qualify) or that you have previously taken part in this promotion or a previous ‘spend £30 and save £10’ promotion.

I'll take google at their word, so anyone who's used it before can't do so again. I'm voting cold
#2
Great news, why cold?

You can have more than one account, can't you?
#3
Dont vote cold just because you already used it and now it does not apply to you!!

Thanks OP

Good to know its back , only time i used google checkout was for the £10 off :giggle:
#4
Could me other half use google checkout at the same address I wonder...
#5
I've used it loads of times and just did a test run and it took off £10 so a bit meaty HOT from me.

Wonder if they have any cheap 500gb hard drives........
#6
for instance if anyone is intrested as ive seen it posted on here a few times you can get the Samsung Spinpoint HD501LJ 500GB Sata 2 hard Drive for only £52.27 delivered which means its best price anywhere.

Few bargains on ebuyer to be had with the £10 off.

I tried it on my old google checkout account it didnt take the £10 off for me as i used it last time the promo was on.

A bit of forward thinking saves a lot of frayed tempers later on eh;-)

Fwiw I reckon Google would pick up on any dodgy transaction LONG before it was completed:thumbsup:

Hi, Good find. Voted hot.

Hmm, be warned that the cheeky swines seem to have put a lot of things UP by £5, unless it's just a coincidence that all 3 of the items i'd been 'watching' over the last few weeks have just got up by a fiver today.
#14
Any idea if any other shops are taking part?!?

Any idea if any other shops are taking part?!?

Best way to find out is to look at google website on the list or stores who participate @ https://checkout.google.com/buyer/merchants.html?hl=en&gl=GB
I have checked vodafone and empiredirect but didn't see the £10 off deal so I guess it is only at ebuyer. :)

I have been buying a lot from ebuyer and the funny thing I find with them is sometimes the price fluctuate like "shares" and I don't really know why. Some of the times you get exceptionally cheap price for the same item but sometimes the price could be 2x or 3x than the normal price. A good example will the Compact Flash card... i see it fluctuate from £7 to more than £20 for a 1GB card. STRANGE!!!

A few of the things I've been keeping an eye on also went up a couple of days ago. Thought it maybe for the leadup to Christmas or so they can lower the price again and show the reduction. Maybe it is for this Google promotion.

Isn't their price linked to demand? I think if they see lots of people buying, then they raise it, to try to maximize profits.

I've spotted a somewhat good deal.

Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000.
£34.12 using Super Saver delivery
£24.12 after google checkout discount

This is selling for circa £29-33 everywhere else, and is quite a new model. Just released on the 4th October. I haven't been able to find any reputable reviews on this, but it looks like a decent bluetooth mouse. Also, its a laser mouse, so better than optical!

I joined up last time but didn't use my discount, do you think I'll still be eligible? I also can't quite see how you actually get the discount - is it automatic?
Thanks for any help, voted Hot.

it is mentioned on the website that it is for those who have not used the £10 off £30 order promotion. Since you have not used the promotion before, just try it and you should see the £10 being taken off before you confirm the order. If you didn't see the £10 money off, I suggest register another google checkout account. Hope this helps :)

Would of voted hot if the OP mentioned previous GC customers who used this at ebuyer cannot use those offer.
#23
I just used a different e-mail and card and set up a new account. We will see if there are any problems.
I used it more than once last time with different e-mails with no problems.
