I guess the vast majority of people here would consider £1500 to be a ridiculous price for a camera

Sadly I guess you're right, wish people would look objectively at the savings because there are people out there waiting for a deal on this camera who now won't click because it's cold

I don't know enough to be sure but is this camera good value at that price?

Like shouldn't the APS-C sensor be full frame for this money? How's about that rear display, could be OLED. That said I'm having trouble outright beating the deal with say Sony's Alpha series, mostly because the cheap ones won't do 4K though they do have a HDMI output.

This is good value. The camera body was also on the 10% offer so I went for it. I'm one of a growing number of professionals switching from Canon 5D mkiii to Fuji X-T2 system. It's lighter, half the price for lenses and better than Canon / Nikon in many respects. Deal should be hot. Shame about the un-educated on here voting it cold

anyone wanting this camera wouldn't be put off by the cold
theyd see a deal and look at it
random buyers wont want the camera anyway so in the end the heat for this deal is irrelevant

Deals expired now but was 10% cheaper than elsewhere, so was obviously a good deal at the time.

Great camera by the way.

Probably ok deal as this is recently released flagship. But law of diminishing returns is very true with Fuji pricing:
£100-£150 used X-A1/X-E1 will take the same pictures as anything up to and including £400-£500 used X-T1. X-T1 will do 90% of what X-T2 does.

Ok if you have lots of money or are a pro, but I'd wait another year, Fuji always used to do occasional large cashbacks or trade-in discounts.

Did I upgrade from X-E1 to X-T10 to X-T1? Yes.
Did I enjoy taking pictures more with X-T1? Yes.
Were they better pictures than with X-E1 or X-T10? No.

Hello I am looking at buying an XT10 or XT1. What made you change from 10 to 1 and why do you enjoy taking pictures more? Thanks

Other than Gear Acquisition Syndrome?

18-135 lens is quite heavy and I also have big hands, so need a big grip. XT-1's is bigger in itself and there are additional Fuji-made grips available. I tried aftermarket Chinese-made L-plate for X-T10 but didn't find it comfortable

X-T1 has a huge viewfinder. Slight advantage for manual focus lens I use.

Very slightly prefer X-T1's controls but there is very little in it.

Mainly GAS. I still kept the X-T10. Not used once in 5 months.
