Seems like Sony are trying to shift their older models to make way for newer versions.

What about this then :-

Excellent tv and good price, free delivery option too

Too bad it cant be used n the 40" version of that TV :(

This looks like a great time to buy one... just to convice the wife now ...

Like the way they've put the 22" back up in price so it comes back to what it was last week after taking off the 10%.

40EX503 for £540 is a fantastic deal. I just paid £625 with a 5 year warranty. It's a brilliant TV and won awards.

Bought Sony BDP-S570B Blu-Ray player shown on HotUkDeals a couple of weeks ago. Just e-mailed Amazon and they have agreed to refund the 10% discount back to my card. So worth sending them a quick e-mail if have purchased a Sony product included in this promotion in the last 30 days (Returns Policy period).

Gutted. I bought the 32EX503 from Amazon 4 weeks ago and it's now considerably cheaper. Well, £45. I've just bumped off an email to Amazon customer service. I'm not holding out much hope, even though in my experience Amazon's customer service has always been second to none.

just spoke to Amazon customer service (I am in the same position as you but with a 403U - bought last week). Because the offer is by Sony, they have stated that I need to return the original telly, then order the same with the Sony 10% code. That's £30 back in my pocket !! - better than a kick in the proverbials !!

A question about Freeview HD - the freeview website says I can't get it in my area but it also says I can't get normal freeview either which I can! So is freeview HD something different to normal freeview in terms of when it's available?

Sorry for the off topic question but obv this inpacks on what tv i go for!

Go to http://www.ukfree.tv/ and put your postcode in, it shows where the transmitters are and the power coverage, clicking on the transmitter tells you if it is transmitting hd channels.

I'm after a 40" tv. Is the 40ex403 significantly better than the 40ex401? I have Sky HD so don't need the Freeview HD tuner, will most likely get a bluray player too. There's a £45 difference between the two...

hi , anyone know what the warranty is with Sony tvs from Amazon?

Looking at this KDL46EX503U can't find any reviews. Does anyone have on? I currently have a Panasonic but find I have to turn it right up to hear speech but when the music kicks in it booms and I'm left scurrying for the remote control so that the neighbours aren't p.ssed off
#21
any reason why this is not in the vouchers section? :|

That always happens with blu-rays, very annoying.

I bought the 32ex503 about 2 weeks ago, gutted when i saw the 10% off promotion.
So i sent amazon an email about 2hours ago, telling them i was in tears here.
They sent me an email back within an hour.
This is the reply i had

But I can see that you did not enter the voucher code SONYCODE where prompted at the foot of the page at the time of placing the order xxxx-xxxx-xxx
However Amazon.co.uk is committed to providing the best possible customer service and we will honor the promotional discount on this occasion.

I have made an exception to our standard policy and requested a refund of 47.27 GBP to your payment card. The refund will complete within 2 to 3 business days and should be credited to your account on your next bank statement.

So thanks to hotukdeals & lampieuk
So worth the 5mins sending that email.
I hope other get there 10% too.

I had a reply within a few minutes of my first email, telling me that they couldn't refund the the difference. So I replied, stating that it was a bit daft that I could return it as I'd found it cheaper (actually one of their reasons for return) and then re-order the TV, saving myself nearly £50. It was forwarded to the escalation team who replied a few hours later, agreeing to make a refund under the exceptional circumstances. This only helps to reinforce my opionion that Amazon has the best customer service of any web store.

I already had 10%, due to a different voucher. They had just reduced the original price, making the new price considerably less. It's always worth asking.
