Hello people - have any of you cancelled your orders (the ones you made in order to get the voucher) before/after using your voucher and then been told by zavvi that they "will need to apply an additional charge of £10" (as someone posted here: zavvi = Can they apply additional charges to an order?)?

What amazes me is that people feel aggrieved by this. They gave you free money and your part of the deal was to buy something. If you didn't do your part, why should they do theirs?

Knowing Zavvi, there will probably be a £50 restriction on the £10 off voucher.

I agree Zavvi will probably have something in the voucher terms where you need to spend £50 or something. This is a company notorious for not honouring glitches or mis-prices!

Signed up for the Masterpass but decided I can't be bothered to go through the hassle of buying tat and then being stung with the voucher!

Signed up for the Masterpass but decided I can't be bothered to go through the hassle buying junk and then being stung!

Could be wrong but would guess that the £10 voucher would be funded by MasterCard as a way of driving uptake for their Masterpass so I think it would be a straight £10 off. Anyway for 99p i'm willing to take a punt. ta

So just used masterpass, kind of confusing as it works by filling in your card details on the zavvi checkout as opposed to details on the masterpass website. So not like paypal which is what I was expecting. Worth a punt though!

Never heard of Masterpass! I do have a MasterCard. Why are we not learning about this! Credit Card Companies do their best to make us use our cards. I am confused! Would appreciate knowing if anyone else understands this offer. Thank You.

No, bought Wimbledon for 99p, registered my info and bank details on the Masterpass site. Selected to pay by Masterpass on Zavvi.

Paying with masterpass gives no indication of using it anywhere?
Really should send an email to confirm

Speculating. But Chanchi32's reasoning does sound pretty likely! I remember when Google Checkout first launched they did £10 off a spend at Ebuyer, where Google just covered the £10 discount so Ebuyer didn't actually lose out... they profited massively more than anything as people were making multiple orders!

Also, those buying the DVD... why not just spend a couple of quid more and get socks or something? At least they'd get some use lol
