Last one was about 10 days ago. They are getting more frequent.

eBay for the past year or so have frequently been having more of these listing promotions, free gallery day, free buy it now day sometimes 5p even to list on any format.I think its because bidding is poor,a lot more people need to put stuff on buy it now to be sure they get a price for them thats right. Its annoying when you got you buy it now listings on and you view your selling page and see your items has tons of watchers and no1 buys!
#7
is the 15p charge for a thumbnail of ur item still active or waived in this promotion?
1 Like #8
It will still be normal 15p for Gallery if thats what you mean by thumbnail.

thanks

You will save more than 5p when you list Buy It Now items.
#16
ideal time to list higher priced items starting at a reasonable price
#17
Aye these are good for me, I have something that I sell at £49.99 BIN, normally costs £1.65p, so 35p instead is a goody :)
#18
i find that the BIN items dont seem to sell so well compared to an auction, anyone else find that?
#19
Depends what you are selling and for how much, I never really had much luck with auctions...there were few times I came away thinking I'd done well out of it (I sold a brand new nintendo ds once, got it for £50 in the game 24 hour spectacular thing, it only went for £62, barely made my money back after fees and whatnot), now I tend to use BIN more often and have far better luck!

LOL, come just in time for the folk that managed to get the 1p Currys TV stands...clear some room in the hall way:w00t:
#21
some people actually got a stand for 1p? i didnt bother trying cos i dont really need one lol.

think i might use this oppurtunity to get rid of the game that came with my xbox 360, i couldnt even be bothered to open it so i guess it will sell for a little bit more lol
#22
Thanks for the info guys and the original post marko4ever24 :)

When I usually list I do it with an auction format starting at what I would like for it then a Buy It Now at about £20 more which can mean a tidy profit
Just a little tip ;)
Also it is normally cheaper than listing a straight buy it now

i remember the days of "free listing days" and then "1p listing days"

The last time they had a free listing day I listed 90 items and those ebay pr!cks closed them all down because some vero idiot informed them I was selling pirates.

Off course it turned out it was not a pirate item but an imported region one dvd. Complete waste of my day. Did ebay apologise or relist my items. No. I managed to resell the region one dvd at a later date but it was 100% not a pirate I even had the Amazon receipt as proof. :x

I have had few probs with moronic vero members. It's pretty stupid because anyone who has a fax machine can join vero and ebay seem to listen to them even when they haven't got a clue about an item.

Also why is is that ebay allow Asian Import DVDs that are clearly pirates to be sold? They never take them down even when they are reported.
#27
Not heard of Vero myself, but it looks very amateur if rivals can wipe your listings so easily with no real assessment or communication, eBay seems to be very arrogant and inconsiderate when it suits their interest, ie in CrackerJacks case to wipe all his listings just-in-case rather than take time to confirm the allegation.

I'll be glad to be proved wrong though...

As a rule of thumb I never list more than 20 items at any one time.

Same thing happened to my friend who was selling genuine dvds. I think in his case it was a rival seller who couldn't handle the competition.

i listed about 25 gamecube games the other day and put wii in the title as you can use them on wii. they all got cancelled cause of the word wii. it took me about 1 hour to list them all, then another hour to relist them again.

What reason did ebay give? Was it 'Keyword Spamming'? :-(

yeah something about illegal listings, trying to list in 2 categories at once. i wasn't best pleased !!
#32
I think eBay should offer "FREE PROMOTION" instead 10p cos its will cost more like final credit fee ect. eBay make lots of money themselves in this website!!!

Have you considered using Turbo Lister? You would still have had a copy of the listing, and it would have been a lot easier just to change the title and re-list the items.
