Another £10 bonus event on quidco

£10 Quidco bonus when you spend £25.00 (excluding delivery) at Book People, The Book Depository, AbeBooks, WHSmith, Wordery or Waterstones.

A qualifying purchase requires the member to opt in and make a cashback earning purchase through the Quidco site, via the specified retailer pages, by 23:59pm on 12 December 2016.

edit: no VAT on books, so £25 is what you need to spend excluding delivery, thanks calmacuk

edit: according to t&cs £10 bonus will appear within 3 days of normal cashback being confirmed (initially it will just appear as tracked)

The £10 bonus will be automatically added to users' accounts 3 days after the purchase has been confirmed by the retailer.

Just to make this clear from the outset, I'm nothing more than a customer of Wordery with no other connection to them in any other way - but I think they're blimmin' brilliant to buy books from. I've been very, very happy each time and like to know that I'm giving money to someone other than mega-giant Amazon.

No mention of VAT, so only need to spend £25 total, or still £30?!

Don't think VAT is charged on books.

whsmiths do more than books, so will play it safe and do £30

P.S. Can this be used ONCE only at one of the retailers, or could you use it at all of them?

im pretty sure it can only be redeemed once, t&cs don't specify, but they do seem to refer to a single £10 incentive.

i went for Wordery too:) Usually a speedyhen man myself :)

went Whsmith but gift voucher tracked at 23.60...cancelled order and redo with a clearance book 8-)
I know it doesn't breach the terms of quidco, as it says nothing of VAT - but they are not the easiest cashback site to deal with! Better to add an extra gift for the family then deal with chasing up.

Thanks for making me aware of this - I just used Book Depository for this offer and then found my purchases were cheaper at Wordery! I'd have been happier spending my money at an independent too so will try them next time

Brilliant!! More Christmas presents ticked off the list. Also managed to use a code for £5 off £30 at the Book People, credit to TORS23 http://www.hotukdeals.com/vouchers/5-off-when-spend-30-plus-free-delivery-over-25-thebookpeople-2568703?p=29416423

Great deal thanks, still to do the big book order. Remember the £10 won't credit until the purchase cashback is confirmed

Yeah agreed, both Wordery and Speedyhen are good alternatives to Amazon. Book Depository is owned by Amazon sadly, so if you want to avoid the tax-dodgers, skip the Depository.

Just one bonus at one of the retailers listed. Shame though!

I couldn't see any mention of VAT in the small print for this, so I'm assuming that £25 is the amount for whatever I buy. Out of interest, does anyone know if Audiobooks (on CD) attract VAT? I'm guessing they do, maybe someone here knows for sure?

Really glad you posted this. I saw the offer earlier and couldn't think of any books I really needed (even with this discount or for gifts) but as soon as I saw this I remembering something straight away.

Out of stock for ages and more expensive on amazon even without the discount - perfect.
#32
Pity its not for Books etc have some books to buy for my sons university course and they are the cheapest at the moment
#33
Thanks to the op - bought a great selection of books from Abe books at a total of £33.30 - these were well priced originally so will be great value with £10 off. Does it matter if they were from a few different sellers within Abe books?

I have an ISA and contribute to a pension, guess I'm a tax dodger too.

But wtf do you do with the book?

Use it as a doorstop.

Theatre gift vouchers may be an option for Xmas presents?
Bought £30's worth, but only multiples of £10 and £20 anyway.

Probably good for second-hand books on Amazon? I`m no fan of Amazon, however they do have sometimes very cheap second-hand books, which Speedyhen and Wordery don`t have
