Ridiculous value, and bizarrely, even though I've been picking up a lot of King books recently, I only have three of these.

Wow. That seems pretty cheap for so many books!

I was hoping that Misery and Pet Semetary would be included, but still this is bloody cheap

This is cheap, and there are lots of other bargains on there too, just spent close to £50 on various books and gifts!
#5
I just realized that they are on Quidco - 8% cashback.

Quidco redirect you to books direct club website but if you will shop on books direct bargains after, it will still track the purchase.
#6
Great price but you have to be a member and does that price include p&p?
#7
Well if you mean free registration by membership than - yes, you need to be a member. P&P free above £5.

Registration may be free but I read the T&C's and it states that you have to buy a certain number of books in your first year as a member otherwise you'll be charged £10 for each book you've not bought (unless you've spent £50).

I think you confusing it with booksdirect.co.uk; booksdirectbargains.co.uk have their own T&C.

I just ordered this and it mentioned nothing of the kind. The book club and the bargains website are very separate.

Yeah the quidco link for "Books Direct Bargains" was taking me to http://www.member.booksdirect.co.uk rather than to https://www.booksdirectbargains.co.uk.

Cheers OP, Ordered even though I've already got a few of them it's still a great saving.

Heat from me.

Great offer, just ordered thanks :)

I ordered 5 delia cookery ooks from here for 7.50..... hard backs, sent out in 5 days, excellent value for money

Great offer

I've been looking for some S King books and actually saw this a couple of days back, but it didn't tell you what books were available. I called their customer services and they were useless, telling me after 30 minutes that the books weren't listed because they were out of stock.

As they're back uop now here's hoping. People have complained about other offers from these guys because they are special 'book club' reduced size hardbacks, but for this price, who cares!!
#17
It is now pricing up at £30

My Mistake that is for 14 books, far too early on a Sunday morning for logical thought.
#19
Even if they turn out to be "club editions" it's still a good price.

Great find, awesome set of books although Pet Sem is missing which is a shame. Heat added :)

Wow great deal, tried to get the quidco, but even if it doesn't work all these hardbacks for this price is still hot.

I was suspicious of some of the titles because I hadn't heard of them before, but a quick look at the reviews on amazon reassured me that the overall quality of the stories gathered here is pretty high. Thanks OP!
#22
Thank you, ordered along with the Thomas tank engine wall clock @ £1.99 too......christmas started.lol...oO
#23
Topcashback takes you to the correct site @ 8% cashback.

Thanks for this OP, I ordered a few other items too.

Quidco still tracks if you copy/paste the relevant part of the URL and stick it on the end of the booksdirectbargains address.

They also have two other Stephen King packs at £30 for 13 books. One of them is the same as this one with one extra book. The other one is completely different, so for £40 @ 8% cashback you could get 23 books.
#25
Groan. Stephen King is the most over rated writer ever. I HATE his style of writing, it's unreadable.

Great deal, love King's work but already have all these books, hot for anyone who hasn't though!
#28
I've been wanting to read King's books for ages, and about a month ago I read Carrie and thought I should get more. This pack is brilliant, and I'm gonna buy the other King pack for £30. £39.99 for 25 books by one of the best authors in the world? Amazing!

i'm still unsure if thats a man or woman? oO
#30
Great deal. Just ordered. Thanks
#31

#32

Ordered!
#33
Ordered... "Awaiting Delivery"
#34
Ordered. That'll keep the wife quiet for a while. I just hope she doesn't get any idea's from them there books.
#35
The only one that I've read is Rose Madder which is goddamn incredible.

I've recently started reading Geralds Game and that seems pretty good too.
#36
Thank You... Hottest deal i came across with! I LOVE Stephen King, i admire him. I am recently collecting all his books and what a coincidence i came up with this deal! Whoo Hoo...

Ps. i prefer paperbacks as they look and sit nicer on shelf, but a few hardback in a collection wouldnt hurt.. H&R...

(reallised i cant rep OP! how do we rep the poster?)

Edited By: iceboy on Aug 15, 2010 22:19: rep q!

Ordered from these guys last week. Some people said their items had gone out of stock. I never heard anything from them. Logged into their website to see my order was cancelled for no reason. Wondering if they're luring people in with good deals with very low stock with the expectation people will shop for something else while they're there.

I understand things go out of stock... but they should let you know rather than just silently cancelling your order.
#38
Many thanks - have ordered. Heat and rep added! :)

I've read all his books, and with the exception of The Dark Half and Salem's Lot, this is pretty much a list of his worst books.
If you're thinking of starting to read his stuff, start on I.T., then move on to the Dark Tower...this is pretty poor fare.

Certainly not his better books, aye. For me, "The Stand" is definitely King's greatest work.

Heat added, though - outstanding price.
