At under 4p a tab these have got to be a bargain,

There are brand snobs who tell you that these are no good but i have bought the smaller pack of these before and found the to be as good as a leading brand so will def be stocking up.

Also doing a 2kg bag of dishwasher salt for 69p

Thaniks - excellent price for 100

I still tend to keep my machine topped up with salt and rinse aid regardless of which tablets I buy.

I use all types (depending on the best offer) and, apart from the Tesco value ones (which often get stuck in my machine's tablet despenser), I find the cleaning results pretty much the same.

Terrific price and most Aldi stuff is good.

Great deal, heat and repped!

And the salt isn't much more than the rock salt they grit the roads with!

Saw it on my local news today, a business was buying dishwasher salt tablets cheap and grinding them up as they could make a fortune selling it as rock salt.

I also saw this in Which and have now changed brand. However at this price I'll stock up on Aldi for now.

A dishwasher tablet is a dishwasher tablet, there is little difference, apart from price

I read a Which? report about 3 months ago which said that Lidl dishwasher tablets were their top best buy or have I remembered wrongly? Anyway, I managed to get the 56 finish tabs for £3 at Morrisons today so have stocked up with them, otherwise I'd have given these a whirl.

Not always the case.. I got some cheapies from Savers... they were truly shocking. These Aldi ones are good quality and well priced x

I like W5 from lidl.

I like W5 from lidl.

Yup they're the ones that were the top Which best buy on their website a couple of months back (before I cancelled my subscription with them because they took too much money off me grr!).
I like them but seeing as this is my first dishwasher ever, I have nothing to compare them with.

I use Asda Smartprice (under 5p a go) AND cut them in half first (gardening secateurs make it easy) - and they work perfectly every time. No salt or rinse aid either.

I'll have some of these though - 2 boxes will see us through the year...

I think Which may have got it right that time ... I've always found the Lidl 5 in 1 tabs the best ... problem is the price of them is nearly the same as some of the branded ones ... because of that, I've now been testing others out there. At the moment I'm on the Morrisons 5 in 1 tabs which are performing surprisingly well!

If this snow lets up in time I'll try get some of these ones from Aldis for sure. Hot from me!

In case it's of interest to anyone, I got a flyer from Netto the other day as well - they'll have boxes of 22 for a £1. Not sure if it's on now or from next week - if you're interested you can probably find it on their website.

I looked back and have the full results. It was close. Tesco Value were top with 84%, W5 from Lidl were 2% behind. Not much in it with detergent only.

Update. I couldn't find Aldi Classic in the test results for Detergent Only. The Magnum 5-1 from Aldi were rated 5th best in the Combination tests.

We used some Astonish tablets a few weeks ago, they were absolutely terrible. Using some Finish ones that were half price in Asda at the moment but had wondered about the Tesco Value ones and also saw the aldi deal today too.

Try using normal washing powder ,as in the stuff you wash clothes with such as Daz automatic.
You only need a spoonfull and it works a treat.
My unscientific study, well its really a rough guess thinks a box would last all year.
#23
Can anyone tell me what the top 5 were for combination tablets. I just started using the Sainsburys ones and not impressed that much. Thanks.

i used to use the combi tabs but cant really tell much difference from cheap ones like these

These are in-store now. My dad's picked me a box up, but tells me they're not a "complete tab" - no mention of rinse aid. I live in a soft water area so the salt isn't a problem. Has anybody any experience of these tablets? I think the usual tablets they sell are an all-in-one are they not?

I managed to grab a box and have used in my Bosch on 30 minute cycle. Great results and no difference to the Tesoc value we use. Top!
