Suitable for indoor & outdoor use.
100 multicoloured low voltage LED lights
8 multi-function lighting effects
10.9m green cable.
6m cable length to first bulb

This pack of 100 multi-function microlights offer a traditional decoration in a range of bright colours. These microlights are low voltage and have a long bulb life, saving you energy and money. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

These microlights have an output of 32V and a gap of 5cm between each bulb.

Please note: transformer needs to be plugged in indoors.

These are not LED, but just tiny incandescent bulbs.

Really?

These are special non-tree christmas lights, they don't sell very well, hence the deal. (_;)

I'm loving the picture. X)
Pretty much sums up Christmas for me.
#23
Not for me but heat added!

I bought the 360 bulb set for £15. They were rubbish. Not LED as the description says. They use 37 watts of electricity! You'd think they'd be super bright using that amount of power but no they were in fact very dim. I returned them and bought the Home Bargains ones. Much better.

Heat added, especially for the picture

Still in stock for me

Collected them, certainly not LEDs! Should have paid more attention, the text next to them says LED but further down it says microlights which are just very small filament bulbs. Not that bright at all, possibly going back.

It's ok, I just went back into my local express where I picked it up and guy refunded amount back on my card :)

Bought a set of 100 & a set of 240. Tesco direct sent them as two separate parcels from the same warehouse, using Yodel. one made it to store the other didn't! luckily the Store had the missing one's in stock. I bought them as they are listed as LED. which they are not just small filament bulbs(Hubby is a model railway enthusiast and the bulbs are know as "Grain of Wheat".)

Tesco seem to have been advertising a number of Christmas light products as LED when they are not.

The people who bought them to reduce their electric bills are going to get a nasty shock.

Which Trading Standards should I report them to?

Which Trading Standards should I report them to?

I contacted Tesco's via email making them aware of the fact they are described as LED(which they are not) & the difference in wattage(3W for LED & 20+ W for the microlights) & they are investigating. I don't think it's a trading standards matter(they are not faulty or dangerous) just miss described.

They are being sold as "energy saving" and they are the opposite. Anyone who bought them in the expectation of being greener and keeping energy costs down will find their electricity bill has soared as a result.

In my case, according to the packaging, a single rope light uses a staggering 164 watts.

If they don't know the difference between microbulbs and LEDS and they claim these are "energy-efficient LED microbulb lights" it's extremely misleading and they need to contact customers who've bought them to make them aware of the issue.
