The Best Media money can buy in my opinion and is rated 9.9/10. Thy cost £25.86 for 100 & £31.73 Delivered.

Direct from Taiyo (rather than via Datasafe or Mediastar). Taiyo Yuden are renowned as being one of the leading manufacturers of quality products.

These discs have super high durability and excellent reliability in terms of compatibility, stability and long life.

These discs have a very high compatibility rate and are suggested for use in almost all hardware that supports the DVD-R format. For older hardware, we suggest checking and applying a firmware update before using the 8x DVD media.

The inkjet printable surface of these discs enables you to add your own designs with affordable machines such as the Epson R265 and R300 inkjet printers. The full-face printable surface allows you to print right up to the centre hub of the disc, producing extremely professional results.

Admittedly I think they may be datasafe branded but they are the exact same TYG02 dye, so what's the difference?

Got to be joking

Great disks i use these myself and get through hundreds, cant compare to datasafe just look at reviews these are seriously more reliable than datasafe media even wirth the same dye,

I never get even a single coaster from a pack of 100 and that goes for the last 9 + packs ive had as i cant remember further back than that

i paid £30 for 100 only couple of weeks ago (From SVP) so £25 is definately voted hot for me

I'm not sure how these qualify as "best". Best in what area, exactly? Sure as hell isn't performance, when they're only 8x discs. Longevity?

Never really had an issue with compatability for any media, i normally buy 100 discs for ~ £15....i cant for the life of me imagine why anyone would pay over twice that price for DVD+/- r's. Might get a few less coasters but i'll gladly take my chances.

The TYG02 is about the best dye that has ever existed. TYG03 (16x) doesn't come close (although 03 is the best general purpose disc, due to it's price of 10-15p per disc).

The best quality TY discs are always the ones they put out themselves too, not the B-grade discs that goto datasafe et al.

£25 is a bargain for 100 of these.

I've been buying these for over a year now, never had a coaster, and none of my discs have deteriorated in the slightest, while I've had cheaper (datasafe, datawrite, et al) media that becomes partially unreadable after a year or two. If you don't want/need printable discs, SVP sell the silver-topped version for usually about £6 less than the printable version.

As usual the DVD BITCHES are out voting cold !!!!!! as they prefer brand B to brand A or C etc....

Fair doo's each to there own. Are these the best for the price ???, if so vote on that

I used to use Ritek disk R05 and had thousands without a problem, then i couldn't get hold of them anymore, tried some SVP recommended PiData disks and they were awful with video skipping constantly.
Moved onto these Taiyo Yuden disks and everythings fine again.

Pity i just had some delivered 2 days ago paying over £30 just for the disks, but voted hot all the same as they are the best around and now at £5 cheaper a bargain too !

Agree that TY02 are the best you can get for the money. Don't agree that price is everything, good media costs and if you value the integrity of the burn then you had better pay the price for good discs. Only a mug buys cheap then says what good value they are against the good discs. One day, those cheapies will refuse to play. These ones won't.
This is cold though, as these have been this price forever at SVP. Hardly a deal really.

Are you sure about the price being the same forever on SVP ?? ?!! ?? I have the forum discount and paid £30.23 for them on Wednesday last week and pretty much the same price a few months ago. Are u sure the price you're thinking of isn't before VAT AND delivery ? as these are now easily 4 quid cheaper than i've ever seen them on there before.

I didn't notice that that the OP inc. p+p. I paid this price WITH a 99p shipping weekend lol
So, yes, I paid this price ... with £4 off the shipping. Easy mistake to make ... I would say that
So, take £4 off on a 99p weekend and this is indeed very cheap for these discs.

thanks for all who know what quality media is.

Hi,suppose a lot of peeps dont know the useless bit of info,Taiyo Yuden invented the CD-R either :)

Lots of debate about which are the better discs, even between TYG02 & TYG03.And don't just trust benchmark graphs, theres more to what constitutes a good disc, than a error graph etc etc.

Cheers BOB
