ANDDDD, ive just beeen to the advantage card evenings that boots hold now and again, where u get 1000 points for every £50 u spent, I spent £67 on Olay, I received 3000 points for each of the £20's i spent, and a FURTHER 1000 points for spending more than £50!! OK so its confusing, but get ur head round it and it works out that i got £40 back in points for spending £67!! One is a very happy bunny!! works on the website too. GO GO GO

Funny :-D

Hi MBairstow - thanks for posting.

The Olay deal on .com and instore is a good one. If you were to buy £60 of olay on .com using the £10 discount voucher on the boards with the current 10 points per £1 promo you end up with £36 point for a £50 spend. I do like these Boots points - makes for a cheap lunch :-D

Just did the same......this is the first i've used my card too......as only applied because we now have just had a local store open yesterday

What does 3600 points mean in a spend instore? :? Oh i see it's in the original thread.....£10 per 1000 points...so that's about £35 spend instore then.....

Voted hot for me.....thanks

If you buy £20 worth and get the 1000 points, can you then buy another £20 worth, use the 1000 points and pay cash of £10 and receive another 1000 points? Or if you use points to pay does that not contribute to giving more points?

Hi,

I was planning to buy some olay products...but just a quick que in my mind....
Anyone who shopped online with boots could tell me....

1) If I need to return any of items ( if its unsuitable..of course...) ....how is the returns system....????

2) And do they take off any promotion points....while returning the item...???

cheers,

idlesaver - Boots won't usually refund on cosmetic products, they may offer an exchange if still sealed but will ask for Ad card to take off any points.

I have ordered online and returned to store for refund.Have done this twice and each time has been a slight problem.First time i was told that they couldn't do it and had to be sent back.Went home and checked T & C's and it did state that i could take them back to store.Went back armed with T&C's,the lady went to see a supervisor, came back and did the refund.Second time was the same scenario, but this time i just told them they were wrong and off she went to the supervisor, came back and did the refund. The delivery invoice doesn't have the prices on,so they have to scan and whatever the price is then, that is what you will recieve. This worked well for me as one of the items i returned was a shaver that i got for half price £75,when it scanned it came out at £150 which they gave me.....result.Of course, this could work in reverse if something you have bought has reduced in price. They also did not reclaim the advantage points.HTH.

You also can't part buy an item with cash and points. You have to have enough points to purchase the item in full i believe.

I too tried both the codes...but it seems only one of these codes can be used i.e. either £10 off one......OR.....500 points one.....

I am getting the £10 promo code working if I order over £60, but I am not getting the 1000 points off a £50 spend at all

Even if I remove all codes I don't get the extra 1000 points off a £50 spend???

the 1000 point on a £50 spend was from the shopping evening (instore) either wed or thurs night this week.

I managed a great shop last night, spent £55 got lots of bargins from my vouchers and also 2900 points back.

Just received an email from boots saying that till 29th oct they will also give you 10 points per £1 spent instead of 4,making this deal even better.

Don't miss 10 points for every £1* you spend until 29th October
