...."If you change your mind, Take the Unopened Insurance Pack back within the 28 days Cooling off Period and get a Full Refund Instore.

You should still Keep the 1000 FREE Clubcard Points, i think?"

£73.80

I was looking at annual cover today for me and the gf and it was less than £30 for both of us for a lot more cover than tesco are offering.

1000 points = £10 = £40 club card deals
#17
£70 for annual cover is pretty expensive.
I just picked it up for 26 quid

Not a good return for the spend. I got 500 points with a 300 point till spit and 2 x100 point baby coupons on a £2.49 pack of huggies pull ups today. You can buy till spits and coupons off Ebay if you don't have any already. A much bigger return for your money than travel insurance.

What's a till spit?
#20
i love till spits, keep getting loads, ive had two free bars of galaxy from tesco's till spits saving about £2.

edit: by the way £70 - staff discount equals £63 - 1000 points ( £40 in deals) = £23,or for those who do not work or know someone who works at tescos, use your vouchers in the news of the world!! to bring down to £25

Sometimes, especially on Mondays when you shop in a Tesco you are given a "Till Spit" with your receipt. These can vary from 20 points to 1000 points. The one I mentioned was 300 points when buying Huggies Pull ups (can buy a night pack for £2.50). Till spits are valuable, you can buy/sell them on Ebay as they are not account specific. Other coupons from the Tesco Clubs can be used on many different products. The baby club ones are especially good, combining these can return 1-3K points on a small nappy/ wipes/ nappy sack shop.

I purchased annual travel insurance from tesco last year ( no points). I had to make a claim for a cancelled flight when a family member passed away. It was a genuine claim, they made me spend more money cos I had to pay 30 quid to the GP to get a medical certificate. Now, nearly a year on, I am still waiting for the refund. Tesco insurance wrote to GP, but he hasn´t replied yet (that is what tesco say to me, anyway), so I am still waiting ( and 30 pounds out of pocket for the certificate!!!)

Insurance was once described to me, by an insurance man I might add, as legal robbery.

£70 is not a tad expensive. It's not a bit iexpensive, IT'S BLOODY EXPENSIVE. I've not checked the conditions, but then again, most people don't. They go for the headline deal and worry about it only when the company won't pay up because there's a vowel in the name of the claimant and it's a bit overcast.

Jezz, you could have paid £30 and got similar conditions. Just think how much better you'd have felt then with that whopping £40 saving!

Ah, bit you've got that saving in club card deals - yes I forgot. Well, that's alright then 'cos now you can put the 40 quid towards another holiday that you'll need more travel insurance for. Anyone know any good travel insurance providers?
#24
Worthwhile noting that if you go on holiday courtesy of Mr T (using your cc vouchers) that normal insurance companies are not meant to cover the cost of the vouchers. Also if you buy it and use 2xNOTW coupons this sunday (-£10).
