WARNING... SECURITY ISSUE for PLUSNET mobile customers.

CERTAIN INCOMING CALLS will DISABLE further incoming calls. PLUSNET deny this is a SECURITY issue.

PLUSNET response:
"I've taken a look at your account and can see you've been advised the issue you've been experiencing since the bank called you is not something we can resolve, but will be fixed automatically in 12 - 24 hours

It's not that a call from the bank is causing your calls to be barred, it's that they are calling from short code which is causing a network error. I can only apologise for the inconvenience of this situation"

Most people are happy to take a year contract. Can't see any benefit of a rolling monthly one if you are getting less for your money.

I am currently with plusnet 30 days sim only getting unlimited calls, text and 4gb data for £10 month and I have no CS issues.

Their customer service has tanked since the days of Life Mobile, the past two times I've had to call them I've not been impressed at all. I am seriously considering moving back to Three.

Three's network coverage is a bit patchy, I had to bin them as I couldn't get a signal in my house or at work. No issues with EE.

I have a contract with virgin as well as plusnet for a friend. It is a good thing I didn't sign up for 12 months contract with Plusnet before this and I was able to move Virgin with a better deal than Plusnet and still on 30 days plan. So this is the advantage with 30 days plan.

Yes, last month I got this deal but with 1500 minutes instead of 1000 for £8.

The 3 mobile is a good deal but it's a 12 months contract and not a 30 day rolling contract...great if you're happy to commit for a year.

Been with plusnet for 3 months now and no issues with porting number or with customer service.

Nope I'm staying in the UK, however I am aware that I would be dealing with an overseas call centre. I'm fine with that, I've been as unimpressed with UK call centres as I have with overseas ones.

good luck with three was with them switched my £35 contract down to £10 a month still covered my needs and suddenly overnight was not getting decent coverage in my own house be in middle of calls and cutting out on me, got the great indian three call centre read from scripts btw and there soloution they have an app which runs thru the broadband at home in order to make calls. in short i left the cs is useless.
now with tesco mobile on 02 and guess what i can make calls anywhere and spend less with them using pay and go for me about £15 every two months. be warned go to three at your peril, i just hope you don't need there cs.

Went for this deal a few months ago. Great deal for the price but signal definitely not as good as ID mobile (Three).

I just bought plusnet sim arrived yesterday, I tested both virgin and plus on same mobile, there is a big difference on speed test, got 36 - 39 Mbps from virgin and 25 - 26 from plusnet, I am not heavy user so this is fine with me

Cheers for the info!

Speed doesn't matter too much with a 3gb limit in my opinion, you could use all 3gb in around 17mins at 25Mbps.

Considering the deal myself though, no loyalty to Three anymore.

Got the 1500mins unlimited text 3gb for £8 last week.I bet if you push them you'll get the same.No problems when ringing customer service.

call customer service and ask them to send you a text with your remaining allowance. You get a text on a specified day per week. it's not the same as being able to instantly check at any given time but it's the next best thing.

Call them and get them to send you a text? How very quaint! :)

Of course you can just log in to your mobile account online and see the remaining allowance. They have a mobile site too, bearing in mind that your username is your account number and you have to get your password set up via the link in an email they send you.

Unfortunately they don't offer the ability to upgrade via your online account otherwise I'd have had this.

dang, need a decent 20gb+ deal with tethering atm. why no decent offers past week or so?

Normal marketing just a little bit more to move yo up to the next bracket but for the extra £2 over the ten pound you only get 1gb of extra data! But lots more mins depends what your needs are

Did online chat and asked for the 3gb 1500 mins unltd text for £8 and they did it no problem. This was at lunchtime today. Was on 2gb and 1000 mins for £7.50 so thought it worth doing for extra 50p. They called it the Uswitch deal so it must be down as that on their system.

still not got round to leaving my deal

This deal was £8 until midnight last night!
