A cigarette powered USB adaptor would be great for when you're miles from the nearest source of electricity. Presumably it's illegal to use indoors though?

Very nice, handy and a Bargain.

Thanks

@inicholson: why would it be illegal to use in house? It is a power adapter. It is not a broadcasting unit and does not run on nuclear energy.

However, I doubt it would be useful in house as the majority of people do not have a 12volt socket in their house.

Or use one of these (as 'aleem' provided the image of above)...

Car Cigarette Adaptor Charger to 3 Pin Mains Converter - UK Adapter

Products such as DC 12V to AC 230V Power Invertors are also sold so you can run standard household domestic appliances (3-pin UK mains plug) from your vehicle by just plugging them into the invertor that is connected to the vehicle's power socket.

BFN,

fp.

:-( Received mine, and the sticker on the adapter states 500mA output; 7dayshop have now updated the page to "- Output: DC5.0V, 500mA(max.) +/- 5%" (was 1000mA previously)..
