"takes 8gb micro sd" if that's the biggest it takes and it's recording 1080p HD it won't be holding much footage before its being recorded over. I'd like to see a picture of the product as it sounds like the crap eBay sell for 10 - 15 quid

Website will update to show 19th specials after about 6pm tonight
#7
Is it any good?

In general, Aldi do pretty decent specials that save you around half to a third on the same or very similar products on the open market. But I'm not so sure this time, we can't see the front, but this looks similar to the screen at least

This looks suspiciously like the Transcend 220.

Reckon it's a rebadge? That dashcam is usually over £100

I don't think the Aldi offer is a re-badged Transcend 220 - different specification:

ALDI (figures quoted above) v Transcend 220 (according to http://uk.transcend-info.com/products/No-692 )
lens, F3.0 v F1.8
sensor, 2 mega-pixel v 3 mega-pixel
resolution, 1280x720 v 1920x1080
GPS, no v yes

etc.

Is this any good?

I'm thinking the same

IMO your just be better off just paying five or ten pound more and getting the g1w or A118-B40 from eBay. Both have excellent reviews and still in this price range.

Just picked up the last one in Aldi Maidstone. Seems pretty good to me for the money. I agree there are better spec dashcams out there for £10-£20 more, but this comes with a 3 year warranty and 8gb sdhc card; that pushed me towards getting one of these.

FWIW its made by que sh (apparently the name is blocked? hence the space :) )

Urgh, so the name of the manufacturer gets blocked from the url as well :|

its http://www.que sh.co.uk/products/?product_id=384 (remove the space between the que and sh)

To those that bought this, how have you mounted it? The mount forces the cam down and therefore away from the windscreen, which isn't ideal.

Back on sale at Aldi this Sunday, 8th May, 2016 at £29-99!
#19
Do these take a memory card and if so do u have 2 buy it separate

I have bought one and it's not a bad price. As they say you get what you pay for. Aldi's are very reliable stuff. Only problem I would say it's a little bulky as you are limited legally where to put it on your wind screen. Apart from that as someone said better to have one than not at all
