Here is the adapter problem sorted, if you don't already have one - only an extra £1.20 on the order.

Wary of something like this from Dealextreme. Has anyone had/used this? Also, wouldn't it get caught by customs for import duty?

For the 2 pin transformers, better off with one of these as they are keyed and a lot more sturdy...

But that is a Euro Adaptor and the item is supplied with US plug (flat pins)

I purchased a similar item from them a while back, the power supply did not work at all, I wrote to them and to be fair, they sent me another one without having to return it, but that one was so noisy and ran so hot, I was afraid it would go up in flames, Luckily I had a power supply from another item I had to run it.
I am always wary of anything from them that you plug into a 240 Volt supply, their safety laws are not quite the same as the UK ;-)

Yeah would rather go for the Cyclone Micro 2, or memorybits has what looks like a rebranded version of Sumivision called the I-ON Vortexplus Mini, and it's for only £23.99, plus not coming from Hong Kong so you'll get it quicker too.

Would rather pay £3 more and get a Sumvision Cyclone Micro 2 from the UK.

Do you have this? What's it like then? I definitely want something to play HD content directly - main reason I posted this was to get some feedback on whether or not it was a good deal. I have been using an Xbox as a media extender, over homeplugs, but some of the faster scenes in movies tend to stutter.

yes, you'll have to pay VAT and an £8 post office charge on top. I'd give DX a miss on anything over a fiver

CAREFUL how you use this , especially if you have young kids. The live terminals are not covered with a protective flap. I would strongly recommend that you buy one that has which will cost £1 or £2 more.
