1car1 just went into administration, so it will be interesting to see what happens with this.

These rental companies take the pi$$ with their weekly hire charges.

I leased a brand new 57 plate corsa last year for only £164 a month on a 12 month contract. The price included delivery, collection, 12 months road tax, dealer warranty, RAC cover. No servicing needed or tyres, just insure it and fill it with petrol.

I now lease my cars as i got fed up with buying new cars and losing alot when selling, service and tyre costs etc and buying old bangers that used to break down etc.

There are some great deals about if you dont mind a 12 month contract. I leased a new 207cc GT on a 12 month for £199.

They have been doing this deal for the since the day i know about 1car1.. may be a few years now ... never thought it was a deal IMHO... its their standard prices ... Infact once they gave me a vectra when they didnot have a corsa in stock ... loved the free upgrade ... Did not vote on this as for me its not really a deal ...

we paid £99 a week in feb went back in march and it was £109, we moaned ( as you do) and it went back to the £99 a week for a fortnight - not bad for occasional hires - lets hope they forget we've got it if theyve gone bust

Well, try to find better offer...

Good thing is that you pay on collection, so there is no risk, even though they are in administration

Who do you lease from ? Are there any down sides to leasing ?

I have been buying new cars every 12 to 24 months for years and always lose thousands on resale price so im looking into leasing
