Just a little advice If anyone buys this pool do not buy the chemical kits which can cost up to £ 50.00. You will need test strips and Chlorine, maybe ph +/- the rest of the chemicals in the kits are not really required.

Nice find, they have the 8ft one in Morrisons at Basingstoke for £15 if anyone wants a smaller one. Other branches may have it as well:thumbsup:

Got to beat the smallest paddling pool in the world that I got from poundland yeah yeah I know it was from poundland but I though it would be big enough for my 11 month old Think it would have been still too small for when she was born!!!

Must agree with thisismark, I have 10ft pool & only ever used chlorine & test strips, as advised by our local pool specialists. in fact they sold me the test strips & effervescent chlorine tabs as used in hot tubs, & they did the trick all summer, along with occasional chlorine shock.

Great deal btw.

This is a great deal as they are £39.99 in B&Q BUT there is one on another thread. It includes a cover for slightly more money. I know it's a different make but has some good reviews. Worth a look?

just need a summer to go with it now :whistling:

as thisismark mentioned test strips chlorine & ph+/- is all you really need, dont forget to check the ph regularly whilst your kids (or anyone) is using the pool.

Bought one of these last year and this year as the top inflatable ring on the first one kept going down and letting all the water out, the pump also fused the house !

Replaced it with the one from woolies which is great but the pump on both of them were/are complete rubbish and noisy as heck. They are constantly rattling, I am not sure if they are all like this or if we have just been unlucky with having two with the same problem.

The one from woolworths comes with a lid which is handy but I still don't understand why you would have a lid that has holes in it, all the little bits of leaves and debris get in there especially with all the rain we have had lately

Having said all that the kids love them and for that price you cant go wrong really. So voted hot once again by me !

We have had no probs with our pump just clean the filter every 2/3 days. I agree with regards the cover so we put the inflatables in the middle so when the cover goes on any thing slopes off ( well thats the Idea ).
The kids love it when we run around the outside of the pool, then the power of the water just let's you drift.
Was this for the kids?

Ordered.... Heat Added and respect for finding great deal

Thank you - have ordered, was hoping the reduced price would still be on when free P&P come around again.

Okay - 1st dumb question of the day.......

It says "no tools required" - how do you get the top inflated?

Or is a pump not a tool?

Any recommendations for blowing it up, and please don't day "big lungs", I am a lady of a nervous disposition! :w00t:

I'd love one of these for the kids, but just wanting to check that it won't cost an arm and a leg to fill it as we're on a water meter. Anglian Water website only seems to give costs in cubic metres:120.83p per m3, whereas these pools give volume in litres. Helpful!

Long time since I did A level maths (or any maths whatsoever!) - is this right:

Diameter =3.05, so surface area = 3.05 x pi @3.14 = 9.577 sq metres.
9.577 x height 0.76 = 7.27 cubic metres
7.27m x £1.20 = £8.73
So I'm looking at around £8-ish to fill it? Or have I gone totally either with the calculation or with the assumption that a cubic metre of water is the same as a cubic metre of ... er... space inside a paddling pool?!

If your lungs can't handle blowing up the ring have a look at this onehttp://http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3400195/Trail/searchtext%3EAIR+PUMP.htm ;-)

Oh no ive ive just won one on ebay for £35 delivered. I also bought some water treatment chemical sachets for the water.....Is this all i need ? It says the treatment lasts two weeks then change the water. Would i have to do this if i got the strips you were on about ??
#26
Ah i just looked i paid £23 for pool cover and pump then £9 fro water sachets. So not so bad for pool. Is there a water heaer for this pool ?? i have asked b4 but now people are buying and might find one for there selfs might be of some help.

Yes we did buy it for the kids and they do love it, as I said it is just the pump that has been the problem. It started off very quiet but has gradually become more and more noisy. It would be too much hastle to take it back for that as you know it takes forever to fill these things.

Would still highly recommend one despite our problems. Good idea about the inflatables though I will put ours in today :-D

If you buy the testing strips they cost £10.00 per 50 this will tell you the state of the water ie if you need chlorine, ph +/-. On average 2 cap fulls of chlorine a day. Once a week you should give the pool a shock treatment of chlorine. You can buy a heater for this I have seen one at Costco for around £30.00. You DO NOT need to replace the water every 2 weeks I would say every 3 months.
I have owned 1 of these pools for 4 years also a hot tub for 3 years so just follow the above.
Any other queries just ask.
