These require a semi-permanent prepared base and hundreds of gallons of water and aren't really suitable for the English climate where you really only need something you can put up quickly on the odd hot day for a few hours and then put away.

I bought one, used it once and will never use it again, half a day to fill, stone cold for the best part of a week, half a day to empty, and a circle of dead grass for my trouble. The 'filter/pump' is a joke too. It cost me £24.99 and was the worst 'bargain' I have ever had.

Cold, at any price.

Just read the other reply. I was going to add. I've just tried to fill one I bought 2 years ago... A glimmer of sunshine. I thought our garden was flat. Obviously not. The thing wont go up and water spilling over one side. Very disappointed chlldren and a huge amount of water to deal with. I now know why they were selling in Currys for £9.99 (off season)/

These are good for one year but are soo hard to clean as they go down when the water empties so you cant scrub it then tip it up to get rid of dirty water. I tend to buy at this time of year for about £20 then use next year and then bin it. Wastefull I know but its the only way to do it. So good price to put away for next summer

first the bad/hard bit, these are not a pool that you just put up for a few days
they do take half a day to fill, will kill the grass it covers
and require time and money spent checking and maintaining the ph levels etc

if you want something you just fill up for an afternoon/few days these are not for you!

however because they are so big, compared, to the tiny swimming pools we have had in the past which are just a few inches deep, our 10ft bestway has been a massive hit with the kids

we adults tend to stay out because its just "heated" by the sun, so its always cold - just varying degrees of how cold!

i cant believe how long the kids stay in it, because it so cold (for adults) its not a pool you will be relaxing in, but as plaything for kids its superb, would recommend buying one even to put away for next year.

wrong

i buy one every year, it takes 5 hours to fill to the rim (12ft) and they are great and easy to use and just make sure the kids have another big buckt of water to set into before they get in the pool to save the pool getting dirty

mins has been up for 2 weeks and is great fun

jesus! half a day to fill up!! im on a water meter so definetely wont be buying one.

We had one of these pools a few years ago. We paid approx £150 for it then, and we thought it was worth the money, so at this price this is a steal.

They obviously take some time to fill as they are so big.
They are designed to stay up during the summer, so once filled you just need to top up.

The only downsided is that it kills the grass under it. My kids had great fun in it. I would reccommend it to everyone with kids aged 3-10. (Or if you don't mind your garden wrecked teenagers have great fun too:whistling:)

These are a great buy & I'm debating purchasing one to put aside for next year. Completely agree with the comments about being awkward to clean though. I tend to put it up for about 2 weeks & just use milton steralising fluid in it lol probably all the wrong quantities but so long as it's not green or smelly the children don't care.
