Good find; Asda tend to do this offer regularly but be warned that the potatoes tend to get mouldy very quickly.

Once you remove the mud do you still have 10kg of spuds?

Do you work in the public sector? Last Christmas it was those that work in the productive (i.e. private) sector who suffered thusly! :-)

While I'm on, I bought a bag of these spuds, and stone me, but every last one of them looked just like Wayne Rooney, with and without the mud :-)

I don't know. I could probably get 10kg of mud from my back garden...

Still, factor in the cost of the spade and either way, it probably is worth £2!

Keep them dark and dry, they'll last, ensure you have a good scrubbing brush for them under dripping tap = fraction of the price of washed potatoes.

I'm addicted to slicing, frying for 20mins for homemade crisps :(

taste much better with mud!!

10kg of potatoes? surely that's enough to feed a small army?

Good price for the supermarket.
We have a few farms near us that sell bags of 25kg for £5/£6.
I prefer the ones from the farm as they last for months, supermarket ones have a habit of going soft/off after only a couple of weeks.
Voted hot.
