Manufactured by RICOH & branded under the up and coming Aone umbrella, this disc has set a new precedent in Dual Layer pricing.

Tested to be highly compatible with DVD players and Video Game Consoles - customers report that they are especially compatible with the Xbox 360. With its extremely fast 8x write speed, you can write 8.5GB in less than 15 minutes!

Double-layer media has a capacity of 8.5GB, this equates to 240 minutes of video in standard play mode.

NOTE: We recommend you use a Pioneer 111 with the LATEST firmware. Also best results on the Xbox 360 are at 4x - however you should try 8x just to see if it works great for you. (SCANS Description - Not Mine!)

I use these discs for various things and for the price these are very very good DL discs, Verts being the best but also 4x the price.

I Know the delivery is a bummer, but someone might comment on a way of getting ti free (through some forum? cant remember) but buy a few packs and delivery isnt too bad.

Please put reasons for cold votes on this because i know you cannot get these cheaper or same price anywhere else, at this price they are a steal!!

EDIT: AV forums i believe for those who are members with required posts etc. those who are not AV forum members i wouldnt bother trying to become one its today only.

Good for coasters if you need them!

Not sure about your technical numbers and what they means in real life. I have used Ricoh discs for years and never had a problem or coaster. Ricoh makes discs for many other brands such as Philips as well.

People who have problems usually don't update their writer firmware for lastest compatibility and then blame the discs.

I don't use DL discs and don't no whether the price is good or not, so I won't vote.
I have been using these for a couple of weeks with no coasters yet and I have burned around 25 of them. All verified no problem with NeroSpeed.
I use these discs all the time for 360 without problems............

they are only 3 quid for 10 from my local comp shop!
got them from ebuyer yesterday.. ordered 2 packs for £10.54 delivered
i had a tonne of coasters from these Aone discs :(
I have burnt over 200 discs with these and never had a coaster.
Every disc was a coaster for me from a pack of 50!!!!
These discs are going to be reliant on what DvdRewriter you use.
Will work fine with some, but all coasters with others.
Reducing the write speed may help to avoid some coasters.
These discs are crap anyone who says otherwise is either not fussy or does not know much about burning
I challenge anyone to produce a screenshot from nero dvd speed to proove otherwise
....well I may not know much about burning, but after using 80 of these successfully with flawless results I do know that they work for me. To be honest, I dont worry about the speed as I have a life to live and never sit and stare at my PC while they are burning.
Plenty people slagging these off then point me to some good ones at the same price delivered.

Let me elaborate.

The old Aone Dual Layers were branded "Aone Plus+" and had a MEDIA ID code of RICOHJPN-D01-67. These discs were fine if burnt with a DVD Writer that likes to write to cheap media like this such as a Pioneer or LiteOn.

The new Aone Dual Layers which seem to have been introduced a few months ago and branded as "Aone Premium" have a MEDIA ID code of UMEDISC-DL1-64.

These discs are HORRIBLE. 97% of the time the discs will be coasters because the second layer is unreadable.

Just scan them with Nero DiscSpeed or DVDInfoPro and all shall be revealed.
I too have used these disks. I did have to upgrade my burner as initially they wouldn't burn. But since that I have burned many without coasters.
One of the places I use the disks is in my Toyota navigation system. I'm sure that would complain if it couldn't read the second layer. So thumbs up for me.
