Yeah i don't think it's that good a deal really if it was 50 quid yeah fair enough it would be a hot deal, but I've had a BD-RE drive for ages in Vaio and never burnt a Blu Ray disc CBA.

Still 3 times what I will pay. I'll wait.
Remember CD & DVD writers were £100 PLUS at one time.
Next year, these'll be half what they are now and better.
And I still won't buiy at that price....
This is the same at Amazon with more reliable dispatch...
(Never ordered a thing at eBuyer after 10 day delivery for a supposed FIVE day delivery and the pomposity of the dispatchers)

I worked at HP when they introduced their first CD Writer, and it's list price was £900, with staff discount it was £450, and I was asked to purchase one for a friend.

So a Blue Ray at £70 is not too bad considering :-)

and the first Computers were the size of a house and will only be affordable to the five kings of Europe...

Sorry I don't see what the price of the first CD burner 15 years ago has much to do with the value for money of a modern day BD burner :(

I don't see how the price of bluray writers in 9 months has any impact on this deal, or in fact how the price of cd writers over a decade ago has on whether this is a good deal or not......

If you are in the market for a bluray writer then this is a good deal, you can spend forever waiting for stuff to get cheaper and never end up buying anything.

paid over £200 for my first double speed CDwriter!!!!! couldn't write more than 3 tracks before needing a system restart -clicks n pops everywhere!!! - Amazing how much these things come down in price.... Personally I think £70 is a really good price for this.... yes, of course, like anything, it will be cheaper next year! - OH EXCEPT PETROL THAT IS!!!!
