11.22.63 hurtles viewers deep into the unpredictable darkness of the American dream. James Franco stars as Jake Epping, a high school teacher at a loss with his life, who wants to make a difference and do something meaningful. Encouraged by his ailing friend (Chris Cooper), Jake journeys back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The story transports audiences into the world of 1960s Texas as Jake explores the multiple mysteries surrounding the alleged assassin Lee Harvey Oswald. But Jake's mission faces threats not only from Oswald, but from Sadie, a beautiful librarian he falls in love with, and from the Past itself... which doesn't want to be changed. And if the Past doesn't want to be changed, it will push back -- often violently. With something for everyone, this edge-of-your seat mystery offers an epic and emotional thrill ride

DVD Version also available at £10.00 and sold by Amazon, but dispatched within 8 to 10 days

Thought this was a site about bargains and giving people heads up on … Thought this was a site about bargains and giving people heads up on prices ...not it seems you're all film critics ..not interested in anyone's opinion other than if it can be got cheaper .

People just provide their opinions for other people to take in account if they're not sure they want to buy it. If all that interests you is a good price, why do you even go through comments?

Whatever. I was being helpful (as opposed to pedantic)

I don't think it's pedantic to point out that you were wrong with pretty much your entire post.

I thought it was just ok. Franco was decent.
The idea of time travelling back to save JFK is a good one but unfortunately King's book follows the flawed Oswald lone assassin model. Would have been much more interesting to examine some of the theories around the 'real' shooters.

Loved the book, and despite my initial misgivings about James Franco playing the lead role, I thoroughly enjoyed the series. Worth a purchase and a re-watch.

I have to say my opinion: This show was really bad. So bad I had to turn it off in the middle of fifth episode. It's very predictable to a point where you simply don't expect anything new because you know what's about to happen, the only thing you don't know is how ridiculously it's going to happen but I'm not going to post spoilers. Acting is good but script is bad.

Slightly immature response, but I get it - you're one of "those" types of poster who gets upset at any kind of criticism. Ignored!

He isn't the director and most writers of book adaptations will have 'veto powers' that they never use, it's bad form.

Theoretically he DID "wipe his ****" with it. Watched couple of episodes and was more than disappointed by it, enough to not bother from there on

Not a bad show (watched on Now TV with the Ent pass), liked it until the ending which I thought was a bit nonsense.

Yes, interesting how Bridget Carpenter bravely tried to condense the Stephen King story into the 8 episodes, a clearly impossible task. Also interesting how Stephen King retained full control over the content of the show too despite what some seem to think....Stephen King article

''Generally, a film director controls a film's artistic and dramatic aspects, and visualizes the script while guiding the technical crew and actors in the fulfillment of that vision''

I stand by my original comments, which were intended to provide a bit of info - as opposed to the petty nit-picking which followed from a few troll types.

Jeez-O fairytooth, just admit you were wrong. X) The Producer is not the Director

"Producer = a person responsible for the financial and managerial aspects of the making of a film or broadcast or for staging a play, opera, etc."

So not in anyway responsible for artistic or creative decisions then.

I'm a huge fan of the book and lost interest in this about halfway through, I had high hopes for it but unfortunately it started quite well and lost it's way. The changes from the book didn't help, too many standard TV tropes.
