Was in my local Poundland today and they had a great deal on Kodak AA batteries - 10 + 1 free for just £1 (link below).

Dunno how good the battery life is, but seems like a very good price regardless. Ended up buying a few packs which I expect will last me ages.

Just gone on their website and it's advertised on there as well. Link here: http://www.poundland.co.uk/product-range/a-z/kodak-aa-batteries/

Zinc and not Alkaline, cheap, but cheap for a reason.
Yes they quite crap. The more batteries they give the crapper they get.
Yep these aren't worth buying dont last long at all but good if you are looking for something cheap.
Made the mistake of buying these, didnt last long even on my sky remote. Avoid - better off looking our for duracell deals on amazom or get panasonis evioa from 7dayshop

true dat....
nothing new... always sold these cheap crap batteries
Damn. I wonder if they do refunds. ;)
These are absolutely rubbish batteries. False economy, barely last anytime at all.
Poundland have stocks these for months/years..

They are ok for remote's which are not used.....

For future reference, unless I am mistaken, these are nothing to do with Kodak. Whoever makes the cheap batteries you get in packs of 20 for £1 would have licensed the name and used pretty much the same batteries as the bigger packs have. But because it's branded, people assume they are better.

Same with a lot of the Sony ones (though I believe they may have been a bit better - still pretty poor though).
I used to buy these for my cordless mouse, but when I got tired of changing them every couple of days I bought the two pack of Duracell from Poundland. These far outlasted a full pack of Kodak when they were selling the 10 + 2 packs, 11 just gave me an odd battery when I got to the end of the pack.
These leak acid very easily, avoid at all costs.
Bought these and they were terrible.
