This looks good for the money, heat given.
#3
Cheap as chips - good find OP! :D
#4
bargain

iirc it also has a 3G module
#5
A very usable low power machine - not like those Atom based netbooks.
Hot from me.
#6
Could do with refurbished in the title.

Website says "open box" then below in red it gives the description of a refurbished product.

This is open box - clearance, box and product pristine.Refurbs from Misco seem to carry 12 month parts warranty only and are marked as 'refurbished' in the title

These processors are at least twice as powerful as an Atom, and that's the newer Atoms - very nice for the price.
#13
more of a netbook than a notebook as no in-built optical drive ?
#14
Looks like it comes with a slip case too....to buy or not to buy (have acer 1810tz)
#15
Nice machine, hot from me.

No its not, this is a notebook 10.1 or below netbook.
#18
Great find tempted to buy myself. Tcb too!
#19

Why do manufacturers do that?
Are there even any advantages?

Well 1810tz has the same processor as this one has so it's pretty much the same performance I think. I think the biggest difference is the screen size (1810tz 11.6" vs. Hannspree 12.1"). 1810tz also has 1GB more ram.

All in all hot deal! Would order one if they shipped to Finland :)
#28
Great price for one of these, great find. Have some heat!

The Netbook deals are almost daily, so no need to panic ;-) This costs approx 50% more than the typical Netbook deals, but has a far superior spec. Heated up !
#30
What is the reputation of this brand for reliability and backup? Any idea if batteries, for example, can be easily obtained?
#31
acer 1810tz for same price? Where? Cheers!
#32
How much of an upgrade would this be from a Dell Mini 9?
#33
Hot - thanks

Dont forget 3.5% Quidco
#34
how does the GMA4500HD graphics chips compare with the the rubbish gma3150 that most netbooks come with?
#35
Would love a spec like this but with at least a radeon 4330, or geforce 9400 or something, and under £300.

any ideas?

Gaming wise, both next to useless. This will play 1080p vids perfectly, inc flash stuff. Uses more power than a 3150 though.
#37
Hmmm, about the same price as an Atom N550-based netbook with just a 1024x600 res screen. Is this as much of a no-brainer as it seems?

Or do I find an extra £100 for a proper i3 laptop?
#38
Any idea whether you can upgrade this CPU or not? I have changed my missus' laptop from a Core Duo to a Core 2 Duo before, just wonder if the same could be done for this? Cheers

Cheney!

Its an ultra portable laptop.
#40
Yeah this falls nicely inbetween a notebook and netbook.

Will play 1080p video fine.

Excellent find.
