12 cans of lager £5.99 (4%) @ Aldi

£5.99 @ ALDI
As the title suggests. Also 24 cans of stronger lager available at Lidl for £12 from the 23rd of November. Aldi also do stronger lager (5%) but that costs around £7.80 for 12 cans. Read More

Hi sotomonkey
I can see this getting colder because it could be any lager; ie you really should put what lager it is in the title
Say for example, if I posted "DVD only £2.99" who knows if that's good or not? It could be a "Best of Coronation Street Weddings" for £2.99 or it could be "The Dark Knight" for £2.99. Bit too vague. I'd go for it and let us know which lager this is.

I remember bringing home a few crates of Aldi lager from Germany a few years ago. The stuff was about 17p for a 500ml can and about 4.8% abv. Just shows how much we get taxed / ripped off over here.

Hi,

Thanks for the posts. Unfortuantely I can't remember the names of the lagers.

The Lidl one is Grafenwalder Pils and works out at 50p a can.

I'm guessing that if its Aldi's own brand though, then most people would rather drink their own urine, well people who are jobless and living off benefits that is. No offence to anyone that is :whistling:

Until theres names of the lagers on offer i can only see this going freezing :(

You're right. It is the tax on beer and spirits over here. The German Government would have an uprising on their hands if they tried to charged that kind of tax on alcohol.
