#16
Would love this to be nationwide, but not going to vote until it's confirmed, as Middlesbrough's a bit of a trek from Plymouth.

OK, if you like your cider and, like me, prefer Bulmers, you'll be pleased to know that they have 8 bottles for £5 in Tesco.

Yes, admittedly, you're getting a couple of cans cheap with the above deal, but bottles taste way nicer than cans.

Bulmers and Magners are the same thing.

'Magners is identical to Bulmers in terms of product taste and characteristics and its branding, packaging and promotional strategy is based on the marketing approach.'

I was told Bulmers is the UK mainland version of Magners and it does taste very similar
Anyway...was in Asda last night in Edi and missed it if it was there

I cant check that link cos im at work but no doubt they are talking about Bulmers in Ireland

Magners in England is called Bulmers in Ireland. They come in exact same bottle except the name is different and they are brewed by exact same company

Bulmers that is sold in England is not related to magners and does not taste the same it is brewed by a different company.

Edit: just seen the link my points above were correct as the link clearly stated the difference between irish bulmers and magners in england. The bulmers over here is different brand altogether sorry if I've gone on and confused people lol

Ah! Very confusing indeed!!

Yet, somewhat interesting!

Here's more:-

'The Bulmers brothers fell out and one moved to Ireland but they have the same recipes and therefore the same products. Bulmers Original (S&N UK product) is slightly lighter but almost identical to Magners. Recently Tesco have stopped stocking Magners altogether in preference to Bulmers Original due to the increase in customer demand for the product. Magners is made by Bulmers Ireland which is a different company and is a different product and as such cannot use the Bulmers brand name on UK mainland due to copyright infringements. S & N UK bought Bulmers in summer 2004 and owns the Bulmers name and redeveloped an old product for launch this year using the brand name.'

People generally look at the title and the price and see it's hot already so vote it hotter thinking that it must be true.
