This is the second time Dell have announced a 'special deal' day which turns out to be a con. The last was was the Dell Signiture Day (last week?) which got panned by HUKD member. I think this is just a cynical ploy by Dell to get people to look at the site. Honestly, do they really think we are so stupid?

i dont like dell but in a recent post about dell when i put across some negative feedback against dell
everyone came down on me like a ton of bricks, hence the post i thought there were lots of dell lovers out there seems im wrong

But it isn't a deal is it?

brookfeather But it isn't a deal is it?

where did you work that out says quite clearly on link "deals" just let your hair down + relax

It looks like today's 'deal' is 25% off the '1yr next day hardware support'.
Usually £85 now 'only' £63.75.
So a saving of £21.25 off something you're unlikely to choose and should not need.

On the new XPS 17 range (which actually looks ok especially when the 5% & 10% discount points get hit), Dell are doing 4 years warranty for the price of 3. It cost £170 so works out at about £57/year (the 1st year is of course free). On this basis, £63.75 looks a tad high.

Normally I would never ever consider paying so much for an extended warranty but if like me you think that inflation is going to let rip and the pound is going to go down the toilet, then fixing the price for four years of laptop use might be a smart move.

Voted cold for lack of a deal.

you wouldn't know a deal if hit you in yer face seeing as you have never posted one
people like you who vote and make bad comments on op's you dont like should be banned from this site.

Personally I am pleased I know about this, but the next 12 days will tell if any real "deals" come up or not. Today, it's a NO but I will keep looking because it will change each day.

Isnt the system designed to take this into account and give him no influence over heat?

heat is often irrelevant anyway, almost identical deals can have wildly different heats in the end depending on stuff like time of day+week, poster, deal picture, details etc
informed comments are often more important and useful in the end

Babymanor doesn't like any sort of criticism on his deals/posts, even if it's advice to something slightly more expensive, but potentially better value for money. Or any sort of talk deterring away from his deals.

In my opinion, there's a difference between an actual deal and something that's just the cheapest.

Still, hugs all round <3

Wow. I don't think these aggressive comments are helping you babymanor. I do try to contribute by making constructive comments, but if you can't see this then that is your loss I suppose.

brilly you are a solar flare i wish you would behave like one "voting cold on an aggressive post"
thats what hukd is about is it. sounds to me like voting on preference not deals.

Tell you what babymanor, if I make a comment you don't like, why don't you just ignore it? If I make a comment that you feel the moderators should look into, report it to them. Let them decide.

PS You can ignore me in my profile too if you like. It will block all my posts. Might be good for your blood pressure.

this is not the first deal that we've had words about seems this is what you like to do rather then
post deals yourself. As for blood pressure seems your the one with the problem and this is your way of relieving yourself......... what has the other way failed as well.
