Could not find posted on here so just a heads up for all you folk with your fancy new gadgets, your kindles, iphone, ipads, androids, etc of this deal.

Just got me a Galaxy Tab which makes a great e-reader and getting back into books for the first time since the Whizzer and Chips books of the mid-70's. I therefore do not know much about the quality of the books offered in this deal, but have just picked up the "The Wire" book, and there some interesting stuff there, the one about Hells Angels for example... anyone recommend some of the other titles that are available ? thanks.

(From link, choose Kindle Store And there is the deal.)

Happy Reading, and A Very Merry Xmas

Good deal but none of the titles appealed to me, then I noticed the top 100 and saw a book by Stephen Leather for £0.72 called Once Bitten. Bargain.

Thanks for posting, I've already bought two.

thanks OP - I bought a Kindle for my daughter but it's not arrived in time! I'm looking for kids books to cheer her up but this 12-days promotions seems to but aimed at the adult market.

I've found Alex Rider stormbreaker
and the knife of never letting go
but if anybody else knows of more I'd appreciate the heads up :)

Merry Christmas!

edit: the good news is that my HUKD flamedeer voucher has paid for the two books above :)

The Hells Angel book is very good. I bought it at full price 3 months ago and loved it.

Thanks OP.
I've just bought Dr Dales Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse. Listened to the funny podcast so it seems rude not to buy at this price :)
And Why Don't Penguins' Feet Freeze. It's a reader's answers type science book.

'The Penelopiad' by Margaret Atwood is meant to be an excellent novel (and it's free). It's worth checking librarything.com for impartial reviews of books.

I read a hilarious sample of a book by a bloke called Matt Cardle. Very amusing in a stoopid way,

I see that First Thrills (Lee Child) is doing very well in the charts, as well as the penguin thing and a couple of others. First Thrills is a compilation of authors so may be a good starter for folk like me.

Bagged five of these - thanks :)

I got a couple from these thanks including the hells angels one which I wanted to read anyway :)
If you search Stephen Leather on the kindle store, he's actually got a few under £1 including a new one 'Bangkok bob' which I believe is only available on the kindle at the mo. Got a few of his recently myself :)

Here is a good free ebook link - http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page

Also, loads of, £0.00 books on Amazon. Click buy, pay hee haw, and it gets delivered right away on to your Kindle for free. >>> I've seen the future and I CAN afford it! (£.0.00 :) )

I had a kindle I got from CEX (the second hand shop). Was great and first time I really found out about this service, unfotunately after 1 week it was blocked because the previous owner had reported it lost / stolen... oh well I got my refund.

Remember you can use the same account to read books on your iphone/ ipod touch, android phone / device, pc and mac. I think a net book actually makes a nice e-reader, can "turn" the screen in Windows using Ctrl-Alt and the arrow keys, if you wanna curl up and read.

Nice to know Im not the only one ... tho' a lot of these are often written in rose tinted glasses mode ... and a tad out of date to 'modern times' (believe me the job has changed in the last 5 years even) tho for naff all ye canny complain!.
I only found out about this eBook by sheer accident. However there must be a link to some 'tool' on Amazon that directs you to free section of their eBooks?

I think we should be told!

I love books like these. I do take most of them with a pinch of salt but do find them fascinating :)

Stieg Larrson's Millennium Trilogy ("The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo"; "The Girl Who Played with Fire"; and, "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest") are sensational reads and only £2.30 - £2.68 on Kindle. Well worth it.

:)
