Subscribe to Radio Times and receive 12 issues for £1, your subscription will then continue by direct debit at £19.99 every six months (26 issues) - saving 33%

But I can't see anything stopping you from cancelling your direct debit before the 3 months is up......

And if you do want to keep RT'ing after that trial/free sub then remember that Tesco ClubCard deals now includes a sub to the RT using your vouchers at 4 x facevalue, albeit based on 'full price' sub rather than this 1/3rd off offer ie from memory £15/yr in deals instead of £40/yr here.

When do you receive it if you subscribe? My dad likes it on the day it's out.

Hot for me - just declined a direct offer of 4 issues for a quid - this therefore 3 x better!

Yes, we just finished a 12 weeks for £1 offer from after christmas but cancelled as soon as first £1 had been collected. Issues keep coming until the 12 issues are complete (actually a few extra in our case!)

fozey, you are not actually answering the question, for goodness' sake. I have paid for the offer, but I realised I haven't actually signed up to the site in the process. It never asked me to. So I am slightly confused as to how I then cancel. A bit worrying...

Just subscribed. Great offer. Heat added.

Cancelling is really easy, I cancelled the Direct Debit as soon as first payment had been taken (back in Jan). A couple of weeks ago they wrote and said they had been unable to collect payment for subscription and would try again on a certain date so I rang (number is in all issues of RT and on letters), said I'd cancelled had they not received my letter? (which I hadn't actually sent) they said no, but that was fine and they would cancel it and no I didn't owe anything for extra issues received. Customer Service is very good in my experience, very helpful and not at all argumentative. Am tempted to do this again but I only rang to confirm cancellation earlier this week from previous one so might leave it a week or two!

Make sure you have a Tv license if you are going to order, as you will be telling them you might have a Tv by ordering this
#30
Great, thanks!

It's a fantastic offer. The magazine arrives on Tuesday mornings, and of course you're protected from the usual September price rise, and protected from supermarkets that (twice last year in my city) don't get a delivery.
Only drawback: the direct debit system is random. Often they take money out on one day, and then replace it in your account the following day. Don't know why this happens. I guess that just having a good volume of high-income readers to offer media buyers is more important than collecting pennies from peons.
#32
Thanks OP - Ordred, and heat added. At 8.5p a week, and a little hassle stopping the direct debit, how can you say no

Not necessarily. You might just want it for the radio times. :-D
#34
Nice one. Had a similar deal with Which? and cancelled the direct debit before the 3 months was up via my bank's website with no comebacks so shouldn't be an issue here either if I decide not to continue subscribing. Thanks.
#35
Good deal - will just have to remember to cancel that direct debit in due course....
