Just been scanning the CPW site and have been hankering after an Incredible S for a while now... checked the prices and on their own brand provider, TALKMOBILE you can get a 12 month deal at £20 per month + a £239.99 upfront cost for handset. £55 Quidco is available I believe so this baby could end up costing you only £425 in total.

If (like me!) you already have a Desire or similar and you are looking to go to the next level you could also cash that in for £145 which would make the cost only £285! I'm just going to order mine now I think! Obviously this relates to a narrow audience but I really do think that at the full £480 this is a stonking deal for an awesome new device.

Hope my first deal post gets some heat! ENJOY :)

clearly stupid ain't you?
do you no the price of the handset only? its a good deal specially as its a 1 year contract only.
might not be everyones cup of tea but its stated the phone is not "free" so either your blind or stupid. i don't like to flame users but there is no logic behind your voting

I have a early desire with the AMOLED screen and am looking to upgrade and this is not a real upgrade its not much more powerful than the desire and has a SLCD screen which isnt as good as mine and if i where you i would read and watch some of the reviews as i have, the new batch of HTC phones have been described as feeling cheap and placticy and i for one wouldn't entertain a upgrade to a phone that's no better than the one it replaces. Ive done loads of research and for me its either the 3D LG or the GalaxyS 2.

Thats not really needed is it. I Think he meant that there's a £239.99 charge+ the 12month contract.

well... I guess you can't please everyone all of the time! :)

I saw a lot of comments about 12 months contracts etc and thought that this would hit the spot for many people. I can understand why the initial cost would put people off but if you look (as you should) at the total cost of ownership over the lifetime of the contract this is a killer deal. You will also be able to upgrade again in a years time!

Re: the reviews; the ones I have read rate this phone VERY highly; to say it's no improvement over the Desire is a little naive - bigger screen, more RAM, better GPU etc etc. The only downside as I see it is the lack of rooting right now but I'm sure that will be resolved soon.

Compared to some of the Desire HD deals that have gone hot recently this is way better and a better phone to boot!

Before I post a phone deal next time I'll think long and hard before doing so!

Lots of people say they want 12-month contracts like networks used to offer, but most of them forget that the handsets were generally much cheaper at the time. Now everyone expects a brand new £500 smartphone every year, and wants to pay £20/month for it.

Good deal, I'm tempted, but would really prefer a contract to be with 3 as the coverage is so much better for 3G in my area (and most others for that matter), anyone know whos 3G network TalkMobile piggy backs ?

Should be more deals like this happening to clear the old stocks of phones, to make way for the new generation, but I wouldn't hold your breath as the dual core chip based phones only really add 1080 video recording (over 720) and a slight speed boost, not much change otherwise, hence no huge fanfare, or rush of clearence sales.

worlock666 . thanks for info.. and dont let anyone put you off ... All the best....

looking to get the desire s as well, but deal is not for me. High cost upfront and not enough minutes.

What's with 9El9Nino9 comment, think you need to take a chill pill.

I think the minutes and data are just a bonus... this thing is selling for over £450 on Expansys... just stick a Giff Gaff in it and view it as a 12 month interest free loan if you like!

It appears some people aren't very good at maths... Even if the handset is £239, if you work out the total cost of ownership over the 12 months it's £480 as worlock666 has said. The handset "SIM free" will cost around £400, so you are getting 200 Mins, 1,000 Txts & unlimited data for £80 over 12 months! THAT IS HOT!;) It's only a 12 month contract too - bonus!!!

If anyone can show me a cheaper way to get an HTC Incredible S for less over 12 months with the mins, texts and unlimited data I'd be very surprised :{

Just figured out that the HTC Desire S on the same deal would be £419.99 total cost over 12 months.

Don't forget CPW phones will be unlocked too, so you can put whatever cheap SIM in you want after 12 months too.

Thanks Koma Toes... I'm glad someone else can see the value in this deal; and don't forget the £55 cashback!

No problem! ;-) I forgot all about the Quidco too lol. Assuming you get the £55 that makes the Desire S an excellent buy as well! I would prefer that phone personally as it isn't too big, but plenty big enough 8)

if i get this deal, i am still going to need to get a new sim because there isn't enough minutes. Had a look at giffgaff, don't know too much about them, but I can only see a deal for £25 that will suit my needs.

btw its a little cheaper @ Amazon £399.99

There are deals the same but with more minutes for more money at CPW...
£25pm for 300 mins
£30pm for 400 mins
suspended#22
koma, they look expensive,
£30 x 12 = 360 + 200 = £600 in total,

Will continue my search! Going to have to call up t-mobile and threaten to leave!

good price for a 12 month deal
hopefully similar or better deals will come soon
#24
£489.99 total for the Desire S on the £30pm deal, and there isn't much difference at all in spec between that and the Incredible S. Don't forget you are out of contract in 12 months, and can go where you like after that i.e. SIM only deal. Any other deals are likely to be for 18 or 24 months - big difference. :) Obviously the deal is better if you don't need as many minutes. I would be more than happy with a new Desire S...

Thanks for taking the time to post this deal OP - looks a cracking deal and deserves to be 'Hot' . I like to think I can spot good mobile phone deals and I couldn't find anything better after searching for days.

Looking to update my current Desire and have been considering this or the Desire S so have actively been looking for the best deal and for combination of minutes, texts, internet etc this beats anything I can find for a 12 month contract.

Contemplating this deal or at worst a 18 month contract one with buymobilephones.net - that one provides the handset free and is £30.64 a month for 18 months with 4 months free (granted it is by redemption but never had a problem with this company getting the money back). Therefore, monthly equivalent is £23.83 for 18 months and gives you 600 minutes, 500 texts and unlimited internet - the handset will come unlocked and deal is on T Mobile which means you can change the flexible booster every month. Total payment over the 18 months would be £428.94 (not taking into account any possible Quidco or Topcashback at about £30 potentially bringing total cost down to £398).

Do like the thought of a 12 month contract however. Just need to weigh up the initial outlay for the phone.

Anyway, thanks for the post and please don't let the cold voters and unknowing people deter you from posting similar deals.

Thanks for the reassuring words Stuart9787 although I don't think I will post anymore in the future - it maddens me that there are some really poor deals for aging hardware (samsumng galaxy s anyone) going into the stratosphere and yet this is at a minus!!! Unbelievable; perhaps HUKD should do a short IQ test before people are allowed to vote!

What is the coverage of talkmobile compared to the other network providers?
Carphone Warehouse seem to be doing some good deals on their network.
