E2 save have announced these types of deals are to end this monday 31st March. So looks like the end of the road for these kind of clearance deals. Various 12 month free deals with various mobiles available.

One for the people who want 12 months free line rental and mobile, also good for those who are due to renew their contracts and can be bothered with sending off cashback claims. So you pay the money each month and claim it back, personally I know the terms on these deals can be very strict so you have to be very organised to do this, but its free if you can be bothered and do everything correctly.

Dont forger quidco!

12 month free deals are available on a range of phones at e2save inc:

Nokia 6300
Nokia 6300 Black
Sony W880i
LG chocolate
LG Shine

and various other mobiles on various.contracts available.

Seem to be on O2 and Vodafone.

I know the Nokia 6300 is a good mobile phone and have had one for 8 months without fault, spec:

* Stylish, slim stainless steel design

* 2 megapixel camera

* 7.8MB internal memory

* Micro SD card support

* High-resolution 16M colour display

* Bluetooth

I have no experience with e2save but know they are part of the carphone warehouse group. SO maybe CPW will follow suit in ending these deals. Remember it only works out 12m free if you remember to send the claim forms back in at the right time, several times through the year (4 times i think).

The below quote taken from mobdeals deal site, look like these kind of deals are coming to an end.

"Deals with 12 months free line rental will come to an end on Monday 31st March. It's the end of the financial year and the likes of e2save are wanting to clear as many phones as possible.

e2save have confirmed that they will not be able to offer any more 12 month free line rental deals on 12 month contracts.

Available for the next few days only, you can get 12m free on a 12m contract with a free Nokia 6300, Sony Eric W880i, LG Shine, Samsung U600, Nokia 2630, Sony Eric W850i and more.

Order while you can!

These offers will end on Monday at 4pm.

Line rental is £30 per month O2 200 plus 200 texts. You'll receive a free phone and £360 cash back from e2save. A credit of £111 will be raised automatically by cheque within 2 months if you do not cancel your contract. To gain the remainder of your cashback, you will need to claim in four stages at months 6, 8, 10 and 12. Terms and conditions apply. See checkout for full details."

Hope this helps those who are looking for a deal and can be bothered with the claim process.

:)

Thanks for the info. OFCOM were putting pressure in retailers offering these deals so it had to end soon.

Personally Ive never had a problem with them and e2save have always paid up.

unsure why the cold vote, a lot of people go for these deals as they are completely free after 12 months (if you do everything right), plus £35 cashback.

So £+35 for a free mobile and 12 months of alloted tariff use cant be bad.

So an excellent deal for the organised! :thumbsup:

would think a lot of people would like to know that these sorts of deals are ending this monday, probably forever due to the change in retailer terms etc.:thinking:

Similar rumours were doing the rounds in December 2006 and nothing happened then. All they will do is revert to automatic cashback (lower amounts) or the free gift promotions.

Previously the 12 month deals have ended to be replaced with 11 month deals for a few weeks and then 12 months again ...is there any indication that this is anything other than their normal promotional activity?

this isnt a rumour though e2save have stated they wont offer anymore 12 month free contract deals from monday. ;-)

Id rather have a 12 month free mobile and contract deal than some more expensive deal with a unneeded 'free gift' anyday. :thumbsup:

Looks like the quidco cashback will be £50 as the 12 months free deal is on an O2 connection and Quidco gives £50 when connecting to O2.

Good spot! So potentially £50 back via quidco and a free mobile and o2 contract for 12 months after the cashback claims.

Superb deals for those who do everything correctly claim wise. I was thinking whether these deals will likely be available again even though the statement says not, so i email e2save and mobdeals, no response from e2save yet though got the following back from mobdeals:

So looks like these kind of deals are genuinely on their way out. :thinking:

I realise these deals where quite common at one point then went, now their back for a short time. Probably to shift excess old stock etc. I think maybe too many people have been claiming the money back because I dont see how e2save can make any money out of these??:? I guess they expect people to forget or file invalid claims etc?

Anybody have any thought as to which is the best mobile available on one of these deals? The contracts tariffs seem pretty similar. I like the simple Nokia 6300 but my brother raves on about his Sony mobile phone, trying to decide what deal would be best for my other half.:?

Also if anybody kindly has experience from E2save in regards to cashback claims? Any help greatly appreciated. I know some companys can be a bit shifty with cashback claims.

Just found out that there are a few 12 month free deals available at mobiles2yourdoor too, though selection is limited. Havent heard of them before but they say they are part of the phones4u company.

BB:thumbsup:

Edit: £45 back available on quidco too.

e2save are good with cashback, best deals seem to be samsung u600, sony w880i or samsung g600 for £1.99 p/m.

Always welcome:thumbsup:

Went for one of these deals today, just need to remember to write the correct claim dates on the calender.:-D

by the way since I first looked a few of the deals are gone, so they are selling out or are being pulled.;)

Seems strange to make a fuss of "we are no longer doing 12 months free line rental deals" and then replace them with "12 months £0.01 line rental"........ maybe its something to do with tax or something???

I ordered a clearance phone the other day with a free laptop (£30/month 12 month contract) but then cancelled the deal because they sent me a phone that looked about 3 years old (and quidco didn't track). Now looking for another good deal but all of their prices seem quite alot higher :-(

So they were all going to end on Monday

Just had this email from e2save

Welcome to April Special Offers Issue 1

This issue of Special Offers is literally jam-packed with 9 email exclusive offers for you to choose from, the pinnacle of them is the FREE Nokia 6300. This slim and attractive handset was voted handset of 2007, if there was an award for the best deal of 2008 we'd get it, you can get the 6300 with 12 months FREE on a 12 month contract! This amazing deal is available on 4 other FREE handsets, but you'd better be quick, offers end 4pm Friday.

I think they will just scale down the deals, but as long as they are selling 12 month deals and not losing money they will continue
