Was looking for a SIM only deal for my iphone and came across this one from o2.
SIM only for iphone - £26.50 per month for 12months gives 900 minutes, unlimited texts, 500mb mobile data
Quidco currently doing £151.50 cashback for a 12 month SIM only (900 min per month tariff)

Therefore £26.50 x 12 months = £318
minus
£151.50 top cash back
minus
£50 high street voucher

Effectively you are paying £9.71 per month !

Excellent deal if you require a new SIM only contract for your iPhone or smart phone.

Vote hot or cold.....not bothered just wanted to share.

If the cashback is honoured then that is a good deal.

Cold from me. 500mb data usage for an iPhone is really going to be cutting it fine. In fact all of O2's data plans are **** poor.

Can put the data up to 1gb for an extra £4.... making this an ice cold £13.71? /sarcasm

And I have an iphone and rarely break 200 yet alone 500. Should be enough for most people, even with the occasional tethering or regular net browsing.

Are TCB generally quite good for tracking/honouring cashback?
This is my first time using them. Only ever really used Quidco in the past....

Hot from me since you get an option to get more minutes (1200 min) if u dont want data...........or get 1gb data n 600 minutes....looks like a win win situation for me.............thanks OP!!!! if the cashback is paid i think this is nice lil deal.

I have never had issues with TCB - I actually prefer them to quidco (personal preference).

I have never gone over 500mb on my iphone 4 - and I am always using my iphone. If you download big files on it then you are asking for it reall.y

aeykeay: You might have spotted something I have missed but this is only on 900mins+ packages AFAIK

Thanks to all who voted hot. Those woh voted cold, please justify.

Just get 600 min deal and add 1gb internet bolt on instead of 500mb. Simples ;-)

But then the cashback drops significantly!
The £151.50 is only on 900 or 1200 min contracts. 600 min gets you £40.40, so quite a bit less.
You can in theory wait til you have it and do it via o2 and that should be no problem and shouldn't affect cashback.

Don't forget you can't tether the iPhone on O2 without an additional £7.50 bolt on

I switched from Quidco to TCB when one of Vodafone's affiliate networks went bust and TCB honoured the cashback and Quidco said it wouldn't. Don't forget that HUKD is owned by the same people as Quidco...

I found that TCB had more vendors than quidco, paid out the same or more and didn't cost the fiver per year, so it was a no brainer.

When are the networks going to acknowledge that 500MB is a joke allowance for a modern smartphone and upgrade their networks and tariffs accordingly? Of course, allowing the Orange-T-Mobile merger, and all the mast sharing schemes, hasn't decreased competition in the mobile market, has it? What a joke OFCOM is. Why isn't it just abolished? The only difference would be that we wouldn't pay taxes for the fig leaf of regulation while the mobile networks shaft us.
