Upsets me seeing good sky deals, I can not have sky where I live so am stuck with virgin.

I can't seem to add any pack with the multi room, does anyone know if I'm doing something wrong? Appreciate any help.

It's even more annoying that these deals are for new customers only.. I've been with sky for 3 years.. Paid from £45 - £69 a month since we have had it and now we have said we are leaving and no retention deals offered.. Yet I could sign up as a new customer each time and get a new package with a great deal! It's very annoying!

In the long run that's not a bad thing

sky is terrible. why anyone would chose them is beyond me.

Sky seem to love 'new' customers but don't look after the ones they've already got. They throw everything at new customers, tablets, soundbars, 1/2 price, free!
#8
How about £50 rewards for loyal customers.....?
#9
Sky is a Rip off , and loyalty means nothing . I've just left them and I won't be back !

I phoned cancellations the other day and asked if there were any offers - they've reduced my bill (and any packages I add) to half price for 12 months.
I added Movies for half price too (I usually do for Xmas anyway) so I'm paying less for a better package.

Give them a call (Cancellations dept have the most power when it comes to offers).

I feel your pain! I think the TV packages let Virgin down

Doesn't seem to be a bad offer. Wonder what they could do if I called them, as I have just left Sky (all channels blank - boo), so don't need a new dish, box or an engineer visit, so this would save them the cost, they just need to turn my account back on.

I've left too, tv runs out on 19th Dec but got tied in to phone and tv for another year due to signing up for free unlimited broadband and as yet no offers previously full tv sports and movies half price.
not very concerned as had done without sports and movies for years, so decided to do without altogether.
Good deal while it lasts.

tied in to phone and broadband. ooops

Cheaper for the original pack to go through topcashback and get 12 months at 25% off with £75 credit and £121.90 cashback. Or go through refer a friend where you get £100 each and then 6 months half price.
#16
...I believe phone and broadband are separate contracts. You may be paying on the same 'account', but I believe you can cancel one without impacting the other.

When I cancelled by Sky TV they left the broadband running, even though I was out of contract on both of them. Since the end of November by Fibre broadband is running, but the Sky channels are all off.

Incidentally, out of the blue I received a call from Sky Broadband on Saturday, who wanted to introduce an offer to reduce my Fibre to £10 per month for a 12 month contract. Accepted this and asked whether they had any deals on Sky TV, but he said it was a different department and could only do Comms.

the problem is if you don't get the 121.90 cashback..... this is a hot deal. im leaving virgin as their TV packages are really bad, so joining Skty tv family and BT infinity broadband as they are also doing an excellent deal

I cancelled was offered 50% and £50 credit, I turned it down then within a week of it going off got a call and e-mail offering 60% and £100 credit on a rolling contract. Just got to be brave and cancel, they soon come crawling

I'm going to do for the refer a friend deal I think with plusnet fibre

Listen folks it's not always as easy to just call and cancel. If they think you are bluffing they will not offer you anything. Do your research on offers and prices from Virgin and BT etc, pick one you want and then cancel your service with Sky. If they don't offer you a retention deal then hold your nerve and you will get an offer by phone or post in the following weeks.
#21
We don't have the option of Virgin, and the offering from BT is much more restrictive, less HD and is a fairly comparable amount.

Also, just seen this little caveat to this deal: 'Offer not available to previous Sky digital subscribers with an active Sky TV subscription in the previous 12 months or with any other offer(s).'

So, as I have only just cancelled, then would they be willing to honour this. Does seem a stupid caveat, as surely having some money coming in is better than having no money coming in.

75% off grand total £21.75 all channels in HD, also offered Multiroom half price but naaar, just took the tv package. 12 months I'll leave and they will come crawling again or I can do without.

Was that a mail shot offer or a call from Sky?
