Bought this instore but must be nationwide as its online too. Give your local Wickes a call before travelling quoting the item code as these were selling fast, especially for a reasonable bulb life. Beats the cheapo poundshop ones in price and lamp life. Works out at only 0.25p per Bulb.

* GU10 fitting
* Average lamp life 2000 hrs
* Suitable for use with a dimmer

Which ones do you use - the only ones I've seen don't give anywhere near the same amount of output as the halogen bulbs. Would love to move to LED bulbs, but have yet to see anything that tempts me to convert.

They had 6 x 20 watt at mine for £2, they are clearing stock to bring in LED lamps, already got rid of them all at mine. Think they are going to stop stocking them.

oO £24 a pop!!

I was looking at swapping over to leds, just bought a pack of 10 recessed downlights in Wickes today but not looking at dropping another £240 to swap the halogens.

Off to the store tomorrow to pick up some SES bulbs for the kitchen. Normally cost us £4 for a pack of 5. Can get 50 bulbs at Wickes for £5 - whoop whoop.

Heat added for the inspiration!!!

The energy saving LED's are rubbish. I want to change to these as Ive just bought 7 spotlights each taking 3 bulbs and I bought 3 of them to put in one of the lights to try.

They are just too dull for me as I like my rooms nice and bright.

Says in stock but no add to basket button!

Absolute bargain if I could order.
#23
no add to basket button :(
#24
just type in gu10 in search box and it lets you add to basket!

Those who have bought LED/energy saving GU10s: are they ACTUALLY a worthy replacement of the halogen versions? Even those £20 'EXERGI hyperbright' bulbs don't seem to be a good replacement for 50w halogens (according to an amazon review).
#26
Still no add to basket button but says in stock????
#27
Out of stock - when you enter payment and try to check out it says 'Only -3 available, please order -3'!

I ordered one lot!

electric guzzlers , we have 2 banks of 4.

I try to buy 35W 's but very rarely see them on offer , 280W as opposed to 400W and not much diiference in brightness.

can you reserve and collect this @ store ?

I have just started switching over to LED GU10s, they are not as bright a Halogen GU10s its something like 800+ lumens vs 320lm for warm white or ~400lm for daylight white..I use these 6watt warm white ones with a diffuser to spread the light as leds are quite narrow in their dispersal of light, they are slightly less bright but not massively off so I can live with them if I never have to replace them again for 50,000 hours use and they save me money in the long run

http://www.homewatt.co.uk/GU10-LED/GU10-6W-LED-Wide-Angle-Warm-White.html

They are expensive though at ~£30 a go and I have about 60 spot light in my house...so I am changing them as the others burn out, I got one of the multipack ownbrands from Homebase supposedly 2000hours use and they pretty much all went within 4 weeks. I would get the more expensive branded ones that I think come with guarantees etc if you can be bothered to chase up for a burnt out spot

None left online.

Will try and pop in tommorow as its about 1 mile away. :D

Out of stock. It allowed me to add to basket but when tried to place the order same message appeared "Only -3 left in stock" funny :)
#34
Will pick some up, thanks!

Great buy. These were £99 each in my local shop!

Just visited the Shrewsbury store, all sold out. Manager confirmed they were £16.95 for a pack of twelve reduced to £3 as the company has decided not to re-stock GU10's. Have tried to order two packs with postage - still less than 50p each but web site will not process order ......Doh .....:(

FWIW I bought 3 LED GU10 daylight bulbs to replace some 50 watt bulbs from seller auctionage on ebay. The were the 4 LED 'CREE' high output type. They are not as bright as the 50 Watt lights they replaced - I'd rate them at about 30 Watts, which is disappointing.

They cost around a fiver, but took 4 - 5 weeks to turn up, which is pretty much what the advert warned although it was strange as the things were dispatched from Germany.

I hope that helps

Back in stock online...there doesn't seem to be a limit on the number you can add to your basket either. Hope this helps.

Oh joy, I just paid £7 for a pack of 10 literally an hour ago.
Mind you, that was still cheaper than what Homebase or B&Q would charge.

Hot.
