1/3 off three very popular Whisky.

The Glenlivet is one of my all time favourites. Hence first in the title.

This is one of Speysides definitive malts. Deceptively complex, The Glenlivet 12 is one of the classiest, most sophisticated malts.
Paul Pacult, Kindred Spirits

A first-class malt. One of the most popular malts in the world deservedly so.
Wallace Milroy, The Original Malt Whisky Almanac

Bright and lively gold.

Without water: Exquisite delicacy of summer-like fragrances. Playful interlacing of floral and fruity aromas. Fresh juicy Chasselas grape, ripe pear, soft apples. And a sensuous touch of exotic fruit (candied pineapple). White lilac. Honeyed blossom (acacia). It opens in time on creamier and richer notes: stewed greengages, ripe apricots, vanilla cr? anglaise, a hint of marshmallow. Oak tenderly enhances that enticing bouquet with more vanilla notes and nutty hints. An echo of toasted oats. Soft spices. Green cardamom, touch of caraway seeds.

With water: Fruity sweetness and oaky tones are brought forward. Cherry plum flan. More toasted notes. Vanilla waffle. Touch of jasmine.

Dry hay, honey, touch of mint.

Without water: Silky feel, flowing on the tongue. Smooth and sweet fruity basket (white peaches, pears poached in a vanilla syrup, a hint of pineapple juice). Honeyed flowers. Almond biscuits.

With water: More honeyed floral notes shine through while spices are toned down. Minty maltiness.

Nutty. Marzipan. Fresh hazelnuts. Spicy. Fresh grated ginger.

Glenlivet 12 Year Old shows a perfectly balanced display of fruity and floral flavours. Oak is present but in the distance. This Classic Speyside conveys beautiful images of a fertile orchard, blossoming at springtime and laden with juicy ripe fruit at summertime. Nose and palate offer a warm experience of Speyside fresh and fragrant air. The single malt to choose for a relaxing moment, enjoyed on its own or with a fruit pudding (plum or apricot pie, Belgian waffle with stewed apples, marzipan biscuits).

One of my favourites. Voted hot.:
Any jobs going?
Is this nationwide?
should be.

Father's day special
Great deal. Shame there are no stores near me. They all converted!
not in Coop near me :o(
For uncultured swine, does this taste any diferent than paddies?
checked 3 stores, didn't find in my local co-op. wonder if it's nationwide?
You might want to try the Freephone number to locate your nearest participating store

Yes, it's difficult to describe differences in taste, but you should be able to tell the difference between these and Paddy. I much prefer Glenmorangie and the Glenlivet to any of the blends (vatted malts are a completely different kettle of fish, of course). I've not had the Singleton (although my "Malt Whisky Companion" - good book, incidentally - doesn't reckon much to it).

Very good price for the Glenlivet. You may be able to get hold of a litre bottle of the Glenmoragie for a roughly similar price/litre, if you can get through it (not a problem in my house!).
Thanks, this is ideal timing for my step-dads birthday. Hopefully one of the 3 local stores have it in stock.
Glenmorangie £20.97 at Morrisons for those who don't live near a Co-op:
Well my local (Amesbury) had the Glenlivet, unfortunately not in that nice faux leather box though :-)

I think they had the Glenmorangie too.

Oh and I got asked for ID by one of the girls I used to work with there 3 or 4 years ago... :?

(What on earth is this new Under 25 nonsense i'm seeing everywhere now?)
May I be the first one who raises the glass tonight?
Heat & rep added. I love the olde single malt and I love Co-op for their malt deals, usually one a month, Aberlour again next month.
