Heard about this from Pocket-Lint, and seemed pretty cool. Its 70% Off Normal Price, and they promise £30 minimum per crate, So looks like a pretty good deal to me.

They have 3 packages on sale:
12 Months - $104.99/£78.83 = £0.65 Per Game
6 Months - $54.99/£41.30 = £0.68 Per Game
3 Months - $28.99/£21.77 = £0.72 Per Game

Website states avg crate value is £77, and there seems to be a decent chance of getting some decent/new games. Eitherway, Worth a Punt imo at £0.65 a game!

They have pictures of half decent games, but what do you actually get? Hmmm

I seen some 'unboxing' videos, and they seem to get a general mix of some triple A titles and indies. Meh. As long as I get a few games I enjoy, its worth it for me.

Well, it's 10 games per month over a 12 month period (I think the title really needs to reflect this).

"Steamcrate sends you 10 random games each month that are yours to keep."

Personally, £78 to be sent 10 potentially naff games a month is a little bit of a risk (for myself). I suppose others may benefit, though.

That said, thank you for your first post, it's appreciated regardless :)

The worry there is, they seem to be quite proud/highlight 'Past crates have included Mortal Kombat X, Bioshock Infinite, Wolfenstein: The New Order, Batman Arkham Origins & more!"

All games that can be picked up for less than £4.50 each, so although they are triple A titles, their value isn't really that high.

Interesting but definitely not for me. For anyone with a large steam collection already there is significant danger of getting some/many games you already have and though it's cheap, it doesn't compete with some of Humble Bundle, Bundlestars and Indie Gala's best output on VFM...

I'm presuming these are codes, theoretically could you buy these crates and sell any duplicate games you have??

No that would not be possible.
What you receive is ten random keys with no description the only way to tell what you got is to activate the key, once that is done its gone even if you already have the game.

Personally i would just buy the games i wanted rather than wasting my cash on this, also who is to say they are not paying £2-3 for these 10 keys and then reselling them at £24.99?

If you really want random games (can be a fun way to build your library a bit) then why not get something like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/162152726057

Works out less than 50p each game (so a good 15p per game less than this deal) and no commitment whatsoever, just buy it when you want it....

I thought that is how it worked but having a quick google myself i could be wrong.

No. In most cases Steam will not let you activate a key for a game you already own.

Occassionally some will slip through though, for example if you own a standard edition and the key is for an "ultimate super deluxe goty edition" then the key will usually activate and simply add the extra content to your account (you don't get an extra copy of the game itself though). Sometimes though it can have a separate appID in Steam for different editions and you will in fact end up with a second copy on your account.
