Depends on the specific device.

Just as there are many USB 3.0 sticks that do not perform as fast as they should and could, the same is true with so many USB 2.0 ones.

A USB 3 Memory Stick? I hadn't realised that My Memory were so clever that they made a Memory Stick that could be plugged into a USB socket. I've got a Sony camcorder here that records to Memory Stick. Looks like I can now use this in it and then plug into a USB socket to transfer files. Handy.

It's the Hoover of memory sticks.

The description is for a USB 3 Memory Stick, not USB 3 thumb drive or flash drive. I have a Sony camera that uses Memory Stick and so I keep an eye out for good deals on memory sticks:

I can't see how a USB 3 device will fit into the camera as USB connectors are quite large.

A huge number of people refer to a USB drive as a Memory Stick in the same way people refer to vacuum cleaners as Hoovers even though their "Hoover" may be a Vax or Electrolux.

The small problem is that they're technologically incompatible. In other words, this is a USB thumb drive and not a memory stick, so the description is incorrect. I've loads of USB thumb drives around the place but I'm looking for a memory stick, and this doesn't look to be one of those.
