Update: Make sure you cancel or renegotiate before the price nearly doubles after 12 months. See chat transcript below.

To get this deal you need to use the voucher code MOVETOSIMO which will give a £3 discount at the checkout. If you don't have an EE PAYG SIM and feel guilty about using the code, buy an EE PAYG SIM from a pound shop.

On many EE deals, BT Sport is an additional £5 per month. The 24 months of BT Sport in this deal is worth £120. It is worth noting that you apparently can't Chromecast with the EE BT Sport package like you can with the BT Internet version.

On BT Mobile, max speed, still not as fast as this, is an extra £4.

The roaming including the US and Canada is great.

Apple Music saves you £60 on six months of Spotify, etc.

TCB is offering £35 which effectively reduces the cost to about £14 but will it pay out with the code? The amount of cashback from Quidco is unclear but they will match TCB at least. It is certainly worth a go.

If you want 20GB at lower speed (still the same speed as faster BT Mobile with the £4 surcharge) without the roaming in US/Canada and with just three months BT Sport, use this code with the 20GB package on the same page for £20.99. TCB is offering £50 cashback but again, there is doubt about whether it will pay out.

Cashback or not, these are very good deals.

For me the 12GB edged it.

I did not add that.

not bad price if you consider that it's not retention. Otherwise EE charges ridiculous like £15 for 500 mb data! hilarious!

When you say 24 months of BT sport, is that just for viewing on your phone or can you get it on your TV?
#10
...hmm, so I'd have to factor in the price of a Chromecast...I s'pose there's virtually no chance of it being in HD either?

You're right. You can't Chromecast it with an EE package like you can with BT Internet. Sorry. I've deleted the original comment.

Just upgraded to 7gb data, unlimited text and talk for £13.99. Was on 4gb at £8.99 but upgraded to the Max plan to get the data included for Orlando and Ibiza holidays. Was going to go down the £25 for 30 days Three feel at home route, but the upgrade worked out cheaper. Contracts up again in October.

That's why you voted cold? Nobody else could probably get the deal you got, hell it probably doesn't even exist anymore.

So existing contract (presumably?) getting a special retentions deal. Yeah I can see why you'd vote this deal (for new customers) cold, makes perfect sense.

Today is opposite day right? :D

I guess those people that got the T-Mobile 12 month free mobile phone deal about 3 years ago are also voting this cold.

So tempted to switch to EE from three. Are there any data restrictions when roaming; ie them blocking you using whatsapp/messenger/facetime calling or tethering, and can you use 4G and LTE when abroad?

I haven't received my EE SIM yet but found Vodafone a huge improvement over Three when abroad. Three was unusable, like a 56k modem.

There is a very useful thread here which confirms roaming speeds are decent. This may change now that networks are forced to provide roaming in Europe but the networks and tariffs with large numbers of business users will have to offer a decent service.

How does the BT Sports for 24 months work when the contract is only for 12 months? Must you keep the package for the higher price the final 12 months for BT Sports to continue working or will it continue so long as the app is still on your phone?
#36
I am with 3, get 30gb and unlimited texts and 600 minutes for £16 and partner gets 8gb data and unlimited texts and minutes for £12 - This seems a good deal, be aware partner was on ee before and moved due to cost of additional data - think I was paying £5 for 4gb extra with 3 - ee are expensive at 500mb a time and have to be used in 24hrs not the remainder of the month like 3. That said 12gb no doubt is enough for most so it should not be an issue.

Ive been with Vodafone for ages and moved to EE and can say their coverage obliterates Vodafone hands down.

Vodafone has been getting sucked dry by buying Hutchison India ever since, Voda AU was on its knees but 50% owned Hutchison made it invest, Vodafone UK is just a pound cash cow for Vodafone Group.
