Just been to poundworld at Bradley Stoke in Bristol and seen these 12led gu10 and mr16 bulbs on the shelf.
They are the cheaper variation of spotlight led bulbs (lots of little bulbs rather than a cree type) but for a quid you can't go wrong :-)

I think its great value for money. If you want brighter LED's then feel free to pay £3-5 a bulb.

Haha, great value.. until it fails/starts flickering in about 3 months. Think I'll stick to my £5 CREE Ledhut ones with 5 year guarantee.

I've got some of the more expensive ones in my kitchen and one of them died so not all LEDs are guaranteed.
My dad has some of these cheap ones in his bathroom and they do the job, hasn't had one fail yet and light the room up.

I thought £1 was cheap for a led light where normally you would pay £4, thus the 'deal' on hotukdeals :-)

stick to branded reputable LEDs.
I also bought cheap ones and they all died within months and in any case were useless.
Philips LEDs are good but expect to pay a tenner each in tesco. but tbey are still going strong and work really well

Good price but totally agree that these are poor quality LEDs. Fine for low use but don't expect them to last long. Tesco currently have GU10s at 2 for £8. They're apparently only 35w equivalent but to me seem much brighter than the 50w Halogen they replaced. Unfortunately a good price doesn't always mean a good deal

had 4 of these to replace halogen bulbs in the kitchen. they were terrible were swapped back after a day as they are really dull. No use for lighting up a room.
