Sorry, don't know my photos keep going on the wrong way

I saw this today, was tempted. Anyone know how effective they are at keeping drinks chiiled? Great to keep stuff chilled on way to picnic etc.

as effective as a nun's fart.

i looked at it and wasn't tempted... IT IS TIIIIIINY! okay for one person but struggle to see the point of a backpack that needs a 12v connection. pretty much useless 10ft away from a car (but, admittedly, no idea how long it'll keep things cold on a mini trek?) the larger 22l coolbox is twice the size and the same price.

I wouldn't use it for trekking. Just liked the smaller size as the larger one they have is more stuff to store. I'm still curious how well these work. I think they use Peltier technology were one side cools and the other side heats so there has to be a fan to blow away the excess heat. In a sunny car it might struggle?? I find a cool bag with a £1 of ice in it usually works well keeping beer and soft drinks cool for 5-6hrs so that is probably the better way to do it.

I have too many cool boxes, bags.

The best way I find is if you place frozen cool packs (solid plastic) in the larger cool boxes that have the 12v cool function them that is superb as best of both worlds.

Or if you have the cash get a large Coleman style (like in the us) fill with frozen water/bags/bottles and have ice all day long

Would it be OK for my 13 hour driving job for drinks and sarnies :p if still plugged in

It would be ideal for that. If the 12v is permanent live just make sure you unplug it when stopped or the battery will go flat fast.
