Cold, from Ideal World, and you are wondering why?

I think the rest of us could ask the OPPOSITE... why on earth is this a "hot" deal?

Do some research online on how lousy a company and their service is before thinking of ANYTHING they sell as a "hot" deal, let alone base it on price! :-(

I the meantime if anyone is wanting cheap ladders here is a page of various types and configurations from eBuyer:
http://www.ebuyer.com/search?q=ladder&x=0&y=0
or here:
http://www.uk-surplus.com/home-garden/garden/multifunction-ladder/prod_136.html

or any number of other sites.

To be honest, rather than cheap, a good quality ladder MIGHT be a much better buy, at little more cost eg.
http://www.ladders-direct.com/acatalog/multi-function-ladder.html
which is a commercially rated one.

Well I was kind of after comments from people who OWNED one of these, but thanks for your £70 dearer "hot" tip comparison!
I'm after a ladder for occasional home use, not "commercial" purposes.

If you're after a ladder like this and don't care that the company you're buying it from has a bad reputation then this one is a tenner cheaper delivered at edirectory.co.uk - http://www.edirectory.co.uk/pf/880/mia/d/47m+multi+function+ladder+with+free+platform/pid/7886738

Only has 8 positions but I think I'm wasting my time on this post.

Only has 8 positions and is £15 for delivery.

Correct - that's why I said 'like it' and not 'exactly this one' and even with the £15 delivery it is still £10 cheaper than your post.

Well a step ladder is quite like it and is 70 quid cheaper.

Good find interpol, heat added. Ignore all the negative ******** You always get some people moaning, they are called sad individuals.

A ladder is one of those things not worth buying cheap. A month off work and back damage is worth a few quid in my opinion.

As I said earlier.......yawn at the cold.
Yet to see ONE post that shows me the SAME ladder at a competitive price.
Posting threads where people **** off Ideal World is fine, but EVERY retailer could be accused by some of poor service.
So thanks for all your "comments". I'll be back on when mine arrives to say how good my ladder is.

Unfortunately what YOU are after isn't really of any significance on a forum dedicated to the persuit of good deals, bargains, value, you know, that sort of thing!

Good comment, much as I was thinking. Plus of course, domestic ladders are not much use for those people who are a bit heavier than average too, even if not likely to collapse, the trip up them (without coming down fast!) them is a bit scary due to the extra sway and movement.

So first you want to know why people vote cold and then you only want comments from people who already have one. COLD because if I want to buy overpriced 'exclusive' tat I'll watch a shopping channel rather than looking on a consumer forum.

So you have proof that this ladder is dangerous and is liabl to collapse then.....you know "that sort of thing"?

LOL.
Not sure I follow this at all.
Yep.......sensible comments from people who own the item, and then if they vote cold, why they have done so. Rocket science ain't it?......or is this a general slagging forum for people who just don't like a product without reason?
I haven't seen a negative post yet from anyone who owns this product......so you tell me how these people know this ladder is sooooo bad.

No, but as a Health and Safety professional I do actually know rather a lot about ladders, and their failure as it happens, not that is particularly relevant here, who mentioned that it was "liable to collapse" other than you? I would imagine without obtaining further information that the ladder is probably at least domestic grade and most UNLIKLEY to collapse unless abused or overloaded. That fact alone is not the same as suggesting it is any sort of "hot deal" though!

As you are deliberately mis-quoting my previous comments, this sort of thing is something else I am also very expert in... in an attempt to elicit a heated argument, it is called TROLLING - something that I will not become party to.

As reasoned diuscussion is not something you appear to want, and to prevent me being trolled by you again, I think it in my interests to IGNORE any of your future posts, so have put you on my ignore list. (sadly I can not ignore any deals you post though, I only wish I could!) As a last tip, if you do not like what I say, I can only suggest you do the same!

for the hard of understanding:
this means I will not see any more of you posts on this or other threads, pointless getting worked up about it, the moderator will take care of that! :-)

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...........................so no proof then.
Thanks for (finally) answering the question.

I'm sure I'll get over the distress of being "ignored" by you.
If that means no more deliberate colding of my posts when you have no proof of the negative reasons you give, then I'm happy with that. Bye.

Maybe you should do a bit of reading up on how this sight actually works rather that writing your own rules. All you have done is copy and paste the sales spiel off a shopping channel website without suggesting any good reason why this deal is hot. From reading about this product and seeing the price tag most people will be able to decide whether it is good value or not, and it is not a requirement of this site to have personally tried out a product to comment on it. I can't really see your motivation for posting on this site, I actually thought it was a joke when I saw this posted and the fact that you are rude to people who are sharing valuable knowledge about ladders to start petty arguments suggests you are in fact a troll.

That's twice I've been accused of being a troll. Didn't even know what one was before yesterday.
If responding to posts (bit like you've done to me here!) is being a troll, then guilty as accused.

"All you have done is copy and paste the sales spiel off a shopping channel website without suggesting any good reason why this deal is hot"
Well yes.......isn't that what you're meant to do? I can hardly write my own "spiel" as I don't own the product.
Saw the deal.....posted it to see if people thought it was any good........loads of responses from people who don't......I reply to them......I'm a troll.
Hilarious.
Never mind. Consider myself off this site.
Too many Post Mafia experts about. Leave you to it.

Good, but since you put a warning on every IdealWorld thread posted, I thought it only fair to put the case for a good experience for parity.......presumably the ThreadMafia allow that?

Ay-up the H&S 'expert' and font of all knowledge ladder-wise is back.
For your info I apologised.
Also for your info my ladders are brilliant. Thanks for your 'helpful' contribution to this thread though.:-D:-D

Incidentally, you could try STARTING a thread occasionally and let us judge just how great your deals are! Troll.
