Good deal, but as previous poster mentioned, but no swimming. Seems the sharks have an appetite for Russian flesh at the moment..

YOU DONT WANT TO GO BED AND BREAKFAST OVER THERE !!

We went bed and breakfast last time we went and probably would again. The quality of food at local restaurants is miles better than the food served in hotels. The only thing we missed was being able to get soft drinks and tea/coffee whenever we wanted for free, as drinks in the hotel were expensive.

If they did a package where your drinks are included but the food isn't we'd probably take that lol!

Its ok, they only go for rude and obnoxious russians!

fantastic deal
#8
don't go swimming over there..... you might get bit!
#9
id rather eat the local food than the stuff they serve in an all inclusive holiday
#10
I went AI to Sharm and the food wasn't great so maybe b&b is the best option.
#11
All I need now is a babysitter for 4 kids.

Anyone got a voucher for that?
#12
B&B is def the best option. Local restaurants are great and cheap.
#13
Just keep away from the bloody Russians!
#14
Forget the sharks, keep away from Egypt is it a s*** hole

I've travelled with Olympic via Thomas cook, they are a very bad company. When we got to egypt the rep told us our hotel was fully booked. From what we found out they over book on cheap prices and then ship you off to a poor hotel and far away from all the action.
I would avoid Olympic, after 1year of trying they are only offering £20 compensation, the whole holiday cost well over £1500 for 2 people.

I vote cold just from previous experience

looks great

Like the holiday posts, and can definitely recommend Sharm - keep up the good work!

I visited this exact hotel in summer 09, it's in the area 'hadaba'. It's located about 6/7 mins drive from naama bay and a taxi ride will cost approximately £1.20 gbp each way so its not that bad.

The hotel was fairly nice and clean, nothing spectacular, staff were friendly, might need to request clean towels sometimes though. Other than that, we did just B+B and didn't really like the hotel food so I'm glad it wasn't all inclusive.

There is a shopping area close by called 'il mecarto'? its a good area, the only place you can buy authentic brands such as adidas, puma etc. they also have a virgin megastore there, so it's definately worth checking out.

Overall we liked it, it was cheap and cheerful, we didn't have high expectations going in and it therefore exceeded them.

p.s. We had 3 rooms and 2 of the 3 had water dripping from the A/C, maybe it was because they used to keep them on the coldest temp for 24 hrs, but still... my room was okay because we would shut it down for approximately 1 hr a day while we went out or something...

Good luck for anyone booking this trip, first of all you'll be out of the shi**y snow, and £279 pp is a BARGAIN!!! X)

Depends which bit you go to.
I've worked in Cairo - which really is the a**ehole of the world, and to be avoided at all costs. In fact, if the the yanks ever go back to testing nuclear weapons, I'd vote Cairo as a ground burst test site.

I've also holidayed in Luxor which was great. Although we did stay slightly outside of Luxor at Karnak, so had piece and quiet at night :)

I would prefer to eat the local food, rather than becoming the local food. Just goes to prove that when you arrive at your resort don't be russian out into the sea!

Don't be put off swimming just because of one white tip shark - there's more chance of you dying from a heart attack at your keyboard than there is of being atacked by a sha....

***nnngggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

it will probably cost an arm and a leg!

I'm Egyptian and every summer I go there with my cousins and friends. One of the best places to chill-out in....you can also stay for as long as you want without paying a single pound if you are able to find a milf who will happily pay you to stay with her and ..., there are lots of them there.

People!! I think you're missing the point ... remember the clever octopus that predicted the winning 2010 games!? I think this shark was predicting the 2018 result .... Quick someone needs to capture it as we need a knew fishy fortune teller!!!
#26
Its a good price, my advice would be to book the flight direct and then find a hotel that suits you.

I advise going to Luxor and seeing what really makes egypt special, its history!

Beware if you are European, Blonde, and Single. The Egyptian boys in Sharm will not leave you alone. Their women folk are so ugly, believe me you will be pestered to death for the whole holiday. My mate went to the loo one night at a nice hotel bar, and when he got back there was an egyptian guy asking my mate's wife to go to bed with him! My mate told him he had 5 seconds to leave or he would kill him. The worst offenders are the egyptian holiday reps who try to get as many bed post notches as possible each year. The young egyptians in Sharm only have one thing on their minds! I have warned you!
