Hi i just booked 2 nights camping in weymouth starting 31st august for just £14.80 that is for 2 adults and 4 children.
Includes fun passes

The lady i spoke to from haven said that haven reduces its prices at the end of the summer holidays as nobody thinks of going away at the end. most kids are not back to school till the 4th so it makes a nice end to the holidays!

you can also book more nights than this or less and i have also seen the prices are similar for exmouth (devon cliffs) and cornwall (perran sands) prob others too!

This is for a basic pitch without electricity

I've stayed at Haven sites before and they've always been dire.
Prepare to have chavvy kids kicking a football against your Motorhome/Caravan/Tent or Static while their parents get bladdered on cheap cider.

:thumbsup:Me and my children love Haven sites, there is loads for them to do. We have just booked 4 nights in august in a trailer tent for £114.
I will not be drinking cheap cider and my children aren't chavvy!

The haven in exmouth (devon cliffs) has had 20 million spent on it apparently, it is there best one and has so much for kids to do.

I think its best to ignore comments when people say its chavvy with people drinking cider etc, a holiday is usually what you make it and they are probably the miserable type you get there that nothing ever pleases them!

Its camping after all, part of the fun is living too close to your neighbours!!

Nice little find here, voted hot!

With the price of camping becoming a little more expensive (ish) this is a good find.

I have to agree with Biker Jeff that there seems to be slight disregard to other peoples feelings on these sites from certain members of the public. If you can, avoid Phwelli? North Wales....what an absolute DUMP!!
All said and done £14.80 is a good price!!

Good find!

Haven & fun ...........in the same sentance, must be a first, obviously not the doss hole in Scotland that i had planned for 2 weeks,& lasted 2 minutes,a stinking hole would be more apt..........enjoy

The Kiln Park in Tenby site is available for 2 nights from 31 August for £14.50 - 3 pitches left when I looked just now.

2 nights in Weymouth for 15 quid - Bargain!

Used to holiday at Littlesea when I was a kid and it was a cracking little site, though I can't comment on what it's like now as it's been 15 years or so since I last went! Mind you, what the site is like is pretty much irrelevant as there's plenty to see and do in Weymouth, not forgetting the free Fireworks display on the 31st August.

aah so this is for pitches - I'd have to go and buy a tent! I was hoping to introduce my husband to camping!

Tenby is a lovely area! I don't know about the Haven sites though

is it nice?

Really good @ Weymouth. Kids still go on about that hol now. There is a lovely walk to bowleaze cove, at the bottom of the campsite, which has a lovely little beach.
Try 'Springhead' or 'The Bridge' Public House. Two local pubs that serve food (and no I dont drink cider and my children are not chavs!)

Been to haven at lakeland, actually wasnt bad, ive been to pontins (southport) and butlins (bognor) both where horrible, money magnet places, where everything was really expensive and you got **** all for it. and bognor was full of teen ****`eads as well, never again.

but like i say i was pleasently suprised by the lakeland one, and i dont really go in for these places, i suppose its which one you go to.

yes there are idiots that go to these places, and yes there are some people who just moan moan moan moan, however that just about explains everywhere.

Nice :-D - though most should be available online as well.

Haven Perran Sands was not that brill - but at this price I would go (if I had a camp!). We were there May BH - weather nice - not much for the kids to do, but we went Lands End, St. Ives, Lizard Point + Eden Project/Stonehenge on the way home so did not need to use the park as a resort - merely like a Hotel Stop. Kitchen was ok, hot water not working, but they did fix at 3rd attempt while we were there. Pool was good, but closing it at 5pm made the experience a bit naff!

I got 5% on a £99 deal via Quidco, no reason not to do it on a £15 deal either.

Our kids school re-opens 7th September - that gives a week for mega reductions!

Littlesea is a quiet site with Weymouth bay right next door (you can use either facilities but they're much the same so not worth the hike if your only there for 2 days)
It's got a decent enough swimming pool which is free with your passes, the evening entertainment is all in 1 room starting with kids stuff then moving onto family entertainment (standard varies)
not too hilly on the site, couple of decent outdoors play areas, the indoor one is ok for 1-4 yr olds but not older would be bored quickly (it's also in the amusements arcade as all haven sites)
The passes are normally in the region of £8 pp per stay so this is a real bargain

Nice deal, shame its so far away from me and I hate camping :-D

I live in Weymouth. Littlesea is not near town or Weymouth Bay. It is situated near chickerell ( a suburb of Weymouth) which is a 10-15 minute bus ride to town or if you dare to drive and pay the astronomical fees that Weymouth & Portland Bourough Council charge then good luck!
However, as I only live a few hundred yards from Littlesea, A: I won't need to use this deal and B: I used to play (and drink) there when growing up and can say it is ok. Not fantastic, not utter cr*p. Middle of the road campsite for £15 for two nights??? Go for it folks, wish you were here! :friends:

P.S. There are four Havens in Weymouth...
Littlesea-as above
Chesil View @ Ferry Bridge on the way to Portland
Sea View and Weymouth Bay sites are linked and a lot closer to beach/town etc than the other two.
#25
Oops! THREE Havens in Weymouth...Chesil View @ Ferry Bridge on the way to Portland is now owned by another company. Sorry!
#26
Whatever happened to Normans??

We used to walk up the field from Littlesea to said Discount Store...ah, the good ol' days! :-D

:oops:just bought a caravan yesterday and priced september weekend from the 24th for 5 nights online is £33 for seaton sands inc funworks passes
:oops:thick part
Basic Grass with Awning (Sleeps up to 8 people)
£33.00 does that mean you can hook up to electrics or basic mean basic cant seem to see it on there website
#28
Basic pitch does NOT include electric hook up.
Click on the "why choose this" at the side of the search results and it shows the details of the pitch.

I would choose an electric pitch at that time of year ( and get yourself a small oil filled radiator to keep the caravan warm at no extra cost if its cold )

We went to a Haven near Scarborough last year granted that the weather was awful but I have to agree it was full of chavvy people getting drunk. Someone did a dump in the sinks one night and another in the showers!!
Never going to anything like them again!

The site is still there but now it is owned by Value House stores. Similar cr*p, I mean merchandise, that Normans used to sell but not so much food. A bit like the Wellwoths that opened in Dorchester. Loads of useless tat you're never going to need but it's cheap so why pass it up?!
Enjoy.
