Ok bit of a story with this one.
My local Morrisons had Halo Reach branded 12 months + 2 free for £17.99.
As they were display cases they had no barcode, so the girl at the checkout called for the assistant at the bit they keep the dvd/games etc.
The girl brought over 2100 Halo Reach branded points and scanned them, they came up at £17.99.
I told her MS points was not the same thing, so she brought over a CURRENT live sub that scanned at £34.99.
Now 2x£17.99 should have been £35.98.
In the end she ended up letting me have the 2 subs for £34.99!!
Prob store specific, but DEF worth checking!

Arghhhh seriously all the best deals appear a month after I renew my membership at only a slighter better rate then the usual. Only happens to me!
#3
Cold as miss price and would be corrected after you left.
#4
good deal for you, but probably not happen for anyone else - sounds like staff error
#5
COLD, because it's a fluke, not a deal.
#6
Your receipt shows only one having been purchased.

Yeh cause she scanned ONE current 12 month sub, as it was the ONLY box with a barcode, but she gave me the 2 halo branded £17.99's for the grand total of £34.99.

I'd argue that. Clearly from the pic, these subs are marked up at £17.99 each.

The barcode thing was just a side issue, and he only got a quid off the 2 in the end.

What store?

cold - got lucky,not a deal

But he didn't get lucky... he paid pretty much the marked price, less £1.

Forget the issue he had with the barcode, and just look at the price on the cases.

Thanks for the support in the last few comments, take out of the equation what happened with the barcodes, i think because the halo reach branded cards are old stock, they are selling them off cheap, only the other week argos were selling these same cards for £29.99, again store specific, but may be worth looking.

P.s a lot of people on here need to get a grip, if you dont like the deal then fine, you sometimes wonder why people goto the trouble of posting, its about HELPING other members on here find a good deal on a product, so what if it's store specific, i get that it may not be for everyone, but at least give some people some credit where it's due, after taking the time to alert others to a possible good deal!

they have these in Paignton. I noticed they didnt have prices on though. Will check this out after work in the morning!
#20
By the way wouldn't it be 24 months?

My 12 months runs out on 12 March so fingers crossed I can get this in my local Morrisons tomorrow, but I won't hold my breath over it

Our live doesn't expire until November! Is it worth purchasing this (if I can get one!!!) and holding onto it till then? Do they go out of date? Or is it a case of they last until you enter the code?

Sorry for so many questions!

If you get a code, you can just enter it straight away, it just stacks them, you can enter as many as you like!
The system just extends your live sub, by how ever many months your code is worth.

It's marked at £17.99 HOW is that a till error?

anyone can stick a yellow label on the wrong product - I wont vote either way but it seems likely a pricing error and then a staff till error.
#29
No idea why on earth this has been marked as expired, how can you argue with it at £17.99 it's worth a check! Some right killjoys on here.

its just a mistake they have put the halo reach 2100 points price on by accident there still £34.99 in leicester store

Agreed. £34.99 in my local. Staff member blatantly accidently put the £17.99 on the wrong product. Probs saw the 2100 points thinking it was the same and with no barcode to scan, thought it was easier than bothering to go and check. I can't see anyone else finding this. Well done to the OP though, I need to renew my Gold.
#35
Definitely not a hot deal for reasons explained by others. Good fortune though!

Question: Why have you been sold two display cases? They don't have any Microsoft Points in them, and the proper boxes should all be sealed with the codes inside...

There's something fishy about this deal beyond the obvious pricing error.
#37
@ OP

If you don't mind, I'll buy the extra off you for 20 quid.

you are correct live subs will stack. but the important part is in bold.
you cannot stack subs longer than 3 years in total.
#39
Let me buy one ;)

Can you advised the location of the stores that these were in? Went to my local and they didn't have it but i still believe this is a hot deal for those who did.
