DEFINITELY hire a car though. Public transport is next to non-existent.

Darn I need a holiday :-P
The trick is to take advantage of the 5kg hand luggage, I bought myself a nice lightweight wheely cabin case and always squeeze as much as I can into that, don't think they've ever weighed it either now I think of it. You can also shift a bit of weight into a laptop type bag giving you 20+kg total which should be more than enough for the average person.

Here's an idea - don't go to work on Sunday! Either book it off in leave or begin to start suddenly feeling very ill on Saturday afternoon, muscle through until the 5.30 like a trooper to show your dedication, then off Sunday as you can't face it.
As for the plane, gotta agreee, TC do cram you in. My knees were stuck against the wire of the magazine pocket. Had to drink numerous G&T's to ease the discomfort :3

Most of these are family run places too. If you ask nicely use of a washing machine is probably no problem.
As said though, you'll spend most of the day in swim-shorts and a t-shirt you take off and put on as a guy and a bikini with something (either summer dress or light clothes) to go over it as a girl. A couple of bits of evening wear (you don't need anything too posh as most places you'll eat are taverna's - GOOD, cheap food in a very relaxed atmosphere) and a couple of pairs of shoes and obviously lots of underwear and you are done. 15KG is fine.
Get used to amazing hospitality in Greece too. If you appear even moderately pleasant they are almost militant with their hospitality, it means everything to them so never refuse an invite to something more private (e.g being invited to the tavern owners table etc).
