Awesome deal Andy, i'd like to give my helpful information, I recently decided to drive up to Newcastle for an absolute bargain Easter holiday week away in Majorca, school holidays, all inclusive for a week. I listed it on here at approx £200 each, it got heat but a lot of negative comments. So feedback is, the drive to Newcastle 2 1/2 hours from my gaff was fine, the airport was really good and chilled out, the accommodation was bang on and we had a great time for 5 people all inclusive for just over £1000...

We stayed there a few years ago and had no problems at all. A short walk into the centre (not 20 mins), easy bus links to other parts of the island and a big (in Greece terms) supermarket a few minutes walk away.

There is another complex called Eleni Studios in Sidari which is nowhere near as good as this.

Fabulous price, Corfu can be incredibly expensive, I am in Corfu now and it's just breathtaking, so green and lush, today is cool with a sea mist and light rain at 21c and a hazy lazy languid day, yesterday it was 28c and scorching .

I thought it was cheap in Greece now

Does anyone know if you need a car to get around to see other parts of the island, or is the local transport ok ?

You can get a bus into Corfu town and there are links to the other villages along the coast near the resort.

If you want to venture south of Corfu town then a car will give you more options. We hired a large capacity scooter when we were there last time and had no issues. The little ones that people can hire without a bike licence really struggle with the hills.
