Tried via Travelzoo another scam, you have to register to get into deal! Called Travel Interaction 10:15am I was flexible - all sold out at £149. I rang off in disgust typical posting, guess mazza works for Travelzoo? 10/10 for enterprise - they called me back and offered a room at an Leone apart hotel no star (room cost £33 night) quoted £161 but had to stay 4 nights, instead of £149 in Hilton for 3 nights.
Sorry too disappoint you, but unfortunately I don't work for travelzoo. I went there with my daughter last year and booked with them after finding the deal on HUKD. Amazing, you find a good deal ,so you share it on here. Only to be slagged off. I could be a lot more criticizing ,but I wont stoop to your level.

Wow. Travel to Krakow a lot and quite surprised this is being voted hot! Expect to pay sub £100 for flights for 2 people and accommodation is so cheap. When I stayed there two weeks ago we had a two bedroom apartment off the main square for £60 for 3 nights (airbnb) Factor in the £3 each transfer from the airport and and the total was £166 for a 3 night break with flights for two people!

Just search the offers page. http://www.travelinteraction.co.uk/special-offers/novotel-krakow-city-west-hotel-220/ - slightly different (hotel) and slightly cheaper.

The hotel is a distance from the main square area, anyone know what public transport is like? Google maps suggests its non existant

Towns in Poland have good trams, Krakow is probably as good as any. You just need to buy your tickets in the little newsagent kiosks, not on the trams or buses. i wish we had a system half as good as theirs. Go back 25 years, there was no choice there.

This shopping centre is right next door with a tram stop.

Use the here maps instead, tram no.1 goes straight to the centre, just south of the central square:

It depends which hotel you mean, the Novotel in the second link is only 10 mins walk from the square and right across from the castle.

I stayed in the Ibis directly behind the Novotel about 3 weeks back - amazing city, lovely people and very cheap as well. Would love to go back soon.

Edit: sorry wrong hotel, this one is a bit further out. Taxis are cheap though and its still walking distance, maybe 20 mins to square.

Krakow what a fantastic city, went there for two weeks in September.

As another poster has said, avoid the hotels, just get an airbnb, the quality to price is ridiculous. We had a two bedroom apartment with all amenities for £25 a night.

In terms of travel, public transport is present and seemingly very good, however, Google maps isn't in touch with it (As it is in other cities like Berlin, and Budapest) so it can be pretty tricky.

I'd advise walking most places you can, as the city itself is beautiful, however for longer distances, get an uber, which is ridiculously cheap. Our 25 minute journey from the airport to our apartment was only £6.50 oO

Voted cold. Just did a quick search and you can get 3 nights in November flying from Stanstead and staying in far superior accommodation (#4 on Tripadvisor for Krakow) for £260 total. As others have said you could easily do it even cheaper than this by spending less on your accommodation.

Just booked flights for next May £91 for 2. Hotels are currently around £300 (4 nights) but I'm guessing it's too far ahead to be booking room. Was going to look at accommodation in Jan / Feb.
Any recommendations on an airb&b? It's for 2

You just need to buy your tickets in the little newsagent kiosks, not on the trams or buses.

Most of these "little newsagent kiosks" disappeared over the last 2 years. You can now buy tickets on most trams and buses from ticket vending machine (some will take coins only.. some accept contact less card payments)... these are also available on some bus/tram stops...don't forget to stamp your ticket in another machine on the bus/tram right after you get on!!
if nothing changed.. you have a choice of single journey ticket and 40, 60 minute one... these are only slightly more expensive and let you change bus/tram lanes without need for a new ticket.

Indeed Krakow is a lovely city I have been a couple of times, however this place can be dangerous, be vigilant! Lots of scams to get money out of you, like adding extras to your bill, don't let your bank/credit card out of your sight for risk of being skimmed and some bars [even the nice looking ones] will slip drugs into your drink in an attempt to make you spend more. If you are a couple then probably OK, if you are even a small group of men or women and they hear that your English accent then they will try it on, after all you are richer than most on the streets of Krakow.

Congrats for ignoring this deal ;) you did the right thing booking flights early but my recommendation is to wait much nearer the time for accommodation, booking this far in advance would be more costly. With so many airbnb properties in Krakow you'll still be spoilt for choice. Here is the one I stayed at two weeks ago (£20 a night!!!) https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/15010875 and if you look at the location it was perfect!! Be patient and keep an eye on prices nearer the time. Remember, leave things late with airbnb and always try and contact a host first to see if they will offer you a deal to secure a late booking (we are hukd'ers after all)

mazza1 sorry to doubt your integrity but did you actually book at the Hilton Krakow - £149 for three nights? Gob smacked that this is now 488 heat - would really like to know how many members (other than travelzoo employees) who were able to book this fantastic deal. Perhaps too good to be true? My wife and I - OAPs were really looking forward to visiting Krakow staying at the Hilton. Have now booked for <£180 flight hotel (not Hilton) separately for end November. Really disappointed with experience trying to book via Travelzoo associate but all the comments about Krakow made us make an effort, sorry to learn from recent post about the excitement of girl gangs but too late my wife is coming with me!

That was so far away from our experience at the end of last month!!

Five English lads all dressed well and not a hint of trouble, even n the nightclubs full of locals! :)

I don't wish to sound rude, but I booked via travelzoo last year. I thought I got a good deal with them for£ 300 for flights and a hotel in central Krakow in June for me and my daughter. Hotel was standard but perfectly fine. For this price and a Hilton hotel with transfers and a organised trip I personaly think its a reasonable good deal.
#34
Mazza what hes saying is when he rang up there was no spaces for the holiday youve mentioned but offered an alternative being more expensive and a different hotel not up to par with the hilton so if this deal isnt available then it needs closing. Websites like this have done these deals in the past bit with only limited spaces and staff buy them out before they hit the sale so when we ring to try no luck. Would have been a great deal if still available

It depends where you end up I suppose, all I'm saying is that you should be vigilant especially around streets of the main square, even certain bars close to the Jewish quarter are dodgy.

Don't think so white feather, just trying to highlight to be vigilant.... It's a stunning place but people are willing to take advantage!

And probably empty as the Polish are all in England. Been to Krakow and lovely place, beats Warsaw hands down.
