Worth noting that these usually come with poor budget tyres, still hot deal though!

lol good one gave me a chuckle!:-D

Good price for someone on a budget, this will apeal to someone with shafted tyres on a low budget car like saxo or corsa. The profile and width is pretty respectable considering the size of wheel and far better than standard.

For me i wont be buying as i have 15" alloys and the standard for mine is 17", if they did 17" packages for this price it would be a different matter :-D

Why would they...they won't have insurance anyway!

How many stud fitment are they then? there looks to be loads, or can they fit 3, 4 or 5 stud? Although Im going to sound like a chav here I wonder if they would fit my missus 3 stud Peugeot 106? At 50 quid a corner its almost as cheap as new tyres all round, which it needs anyway...
#16
Voted hot. Whilst they are a bit Chav, they are good value if looking to replace existing 15" tyres. I'll ne sticking with my standard 17"s on my MINI Cooper S though.
#17
These are poor quality alloys with poor quality tyres to boot and are ugly when seen in the flesh and only good value if you buy in order just to say that your car has alloys.

The wheels are multi-fitment so should fit most small cars and prams and chav mobiles and probably come complete with a voucher for a free bottle of supermarket cider:)....voted cold

...regardless of your / our thoughts...i don't think this warrants a cold vote...it is a good offer nonrtheless as £50 a corner...at least those that buy will have legal tyres etc...voted hot OP'er...good find regardless...go chavski's...go

i worked for halfords for four years, and unfortunately yes people do buy these. Ripspeed = Korean Rubbish. Halfords buy these wheels including tyres for less than £50 for 4, so you can see they are real quality! (Not).

If you like the thought of remanufactured tyres around a metal hub cab, then maybe this deal is for you!
#22
What alloy are the wheels made from? Bronze is an alloy, but I doubt they're made from this...

..this sheds a new light on proceedings...I personally wouldn't buy em...BUT...as 'new' and from a 'reputable' long established co like hellfrauds...is this not better for 16yr old spotty chav than a back street part worn scrap merchant ?

I'd like to know if they'd fit the missus 5 stud Neon ??

States on Halfords link: PCD: 4x100/4x108
meaning they are 4 stud fitment only. Probably ok for a small engined small car for city driving, but appear to be very good quality.

These wheels are showing with Silverstone Sport tyres. These are decent quality tyres and probably cost about £40 - £50 each. Also whoever commented that Korean equals **** is talking rubbish. At least Korea can actually manufacture goods that we in Britain want to buy. Korean engineered goods such as Hyundai cars are excellent quality.
#27
I reserved a set of these on tuesday, when the web price was £180..! I reserved them and picked them up from a branch in Lowestoft. The nearest set within miles... On wednesday the price was up at £199.!
Nice tyres, a decent wheel, simple nothing fancy. Cheaper than buying 4 half decent tyres anyway.! Lighter than my original alloys. :) Look very nice on my kitcar. :)

Give me a set of chrome spinners any day, lol.

If I remember the last deal rightly, the same conversation was had. Okay, an alloy for cheap. Okay, cheap tyres too.

Don't get me wrong - any new car tyre will be 'good' in warm dry conditions. These tyres are absolute garbage in the damp, cold and wet. More to the point, the person above suggested that as an ex-employee, these were remoulds (re-manufacture). Steer clear.

Halfords alloys usually come with Khumo tyres which are fine. £200 is a bargain.
They don't look chavvy in the slightest.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks any after-market alloy that is not provided by the car manufacturer, looks 100% chav...right?

I bet 99% of people who put these wheels on from 13/14" steel rims don't bother getting their speed counter reconfigured either ... or tell their insurer as already mentioned (if they indeed have insurance).
#32
The profile is only 50, if you go from a 14" rim with a 65 profile, these 15" wheels are actually the same size within 5mm or so.

Silverstone Fzr tyres are pretty good, they are not Toyo R888's by any means. By they are a very good tyre, in the upper mid range. They are not remoulds or retreads.

I wouldn't be surprised if O.Z & BBR cast their alloys in the next door factory in Korea.., Korean=Rubbish?
#33
Thanks!! Just got a set for our escort - what a bargain - budget tyres alone average £60 Each!! Nice alloys to smarten up the car, better than wheel trims lol

And no were not chavs lol..!!

The likes of Korea and China build to spec. Want cheap, get cheap. The one point of contact with the road is from the tyres. How on Earth can a whole alloy AND a tyre be good quality for £50? If it seems to good to be true, it probably is. Cliché, but generally quite right.

edit: and I think these wheels look silly. Why don't people buy alloys that were designed for the car? I mean, the suspension is set up specifically for certain size wheels and tyres. Again, I wouldn't be surprised to find that 99% of buyers who slap on "fat" tyres don't make sure the suspension (or speedo where sizes end up differing) is coping properly.

Believe you are talking ****. Hotukdeals people are not the sort of folks to pay a car dealer to rip them off for a set of alloys, as put by you "designed for the car". Get real, these alloys are no better or worse tham you can buy in Halfords. The tyres in this deal are worth about the cost of the total package. Don't know how many cars you have bought with 'factory fitted' alloys. I have bought several. last two being Renault and Fiat. Both sets of alloys started corroding within the first year of ownership. Replacement from dealer for Fiat alloys, £200 per corner.

Reap what you sow. I've seen plenty of HUKD folk think that a deal is hot ... but in my opinion is far from it.

Have you learned your lesson? Don't buy pap Italian and French cars ... I've had cars from Ford, GM (Vauxhall), Honda and none of which have corroded. Why? Because they were built to spec, i.e., a good spec. My current Ford alloys are ... made by OZ. Perhaps made in Korea? Well they are 3 years old and not corroding ... yawn.

Before you suggest others are talking excrement, read what you have written. Honestly, do it. You might realise that you are coming across as a pleb. And then ask mummy nicely to pick your toys up and put them back in your pram.

Way past your bed time when you posted your rather stupid reply and you were probably drunk!
My neighbour has a brand new Mitsubishi Evo 9, all four of his factory fitted alloys had to be replaced under warranty due to corrosion. He also had a Volvo T5, one of his wheels literally snapped when he was driving it. I merely mentioned that my last two cars were Renault and Fiat. I could have mentioned many other examples. The fact is you are so 'up' yourself that you think you know it all. Arrogant ****.

When you consider that getting a full set of even 13" alloys refurbed costs at least £200, and these come with new tyres that would cost nearly as much as the total price, it looks like a good deal.

To check speedo differences use the calculator here http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible_pg2.html For my car currently with 13" alloys, these tyres would in fact make the speedo slightly under-estimate the speed as the rolling radius is only slightly less. On a Chavs small car like a corsa, these will most likely increase the rolling radius and make the speedo over-estimate getting the ricers speed tickets.

I suppose the only problem is they might not last, might easily end up buckled when kerbed and need replacing soonish - and the £200 could be better spent on buying a better set of wheels or towards refurbing a good quality set of wheels.

My my! Sounds like someone is a little tense. Over-defensive replies make people look silly! Always exception to the rule, we are all (well, mostly) grown-up enough to see that, but never mind. I'll continue to be 'up myself' and enjoy it, okay? Thank you kindly.
